Some of your recent comments have been utterly bizarre. Your making assumptions by what you hear or don't hear on TV of Hazard's popularity is just plain stupid (I wouldn't normally call a women stupid but you hate political correctness so presumably it won't bother you). At Stamford Bridge it's hard to get chants going because the place is full of day trippers and tourists who just sit there taking photos on their phones. Go to any pub on matchday especially away games and there's plenty of support for Hazard. The problem at home games is it's virtually impossible to get match tickets for groups of mates like you could in the old days ergo 4 mates in the pub singing will probably be sitting in four different stands.

Internet fans being more supportive than match going fans probably sums up the state of modern football. If I started watching a Brazilian team and they were getting booed by the home fans do you think they could  say ''oh well no problem the people who watch us every week think we are wankers but at least we are popular on the internet''.

Fair enough, but we are working here on the possibility, or rather likelihood that he will leave in the summer (presumably to real). 

Of course I speak for myself, but it would be difficult for me to think of him as a Chelsea legend if he plays 4-5 years at real or another big club. It just dilutes his status for me.

btw, I think the whole key player thing is a logical fallacy. Clubs can afford a certain number of key players and pay really well for them. Whether they can attract them or not is a diff story, but Liverpool proved that it is possible to replace them even if relying on luck sometimes.

the fallacy that fans do, is to always compare the key player, on super high wages, to regular players on regular wages. The logic shouldn’t be, "had he not been here," but rather, "had another key player, on similar wages, been here instead..."

Hazard has admitted he is happy at Chelsea, for now.

When asked about a potential move he told Telefoot: “In football anything can happen. But in football nothing can happen too.

“Every year they talk about Real or PSG. And when I want to change clubs, I will. But at the moment I’m good where I am.

“I still have two year left on my contract. I feel very good over here.

There's always either "we'll see", "for now" or "at the moment" when Hazard talks about his future. If he intends to go, he should just say so.

It would be very foolish of him to say that now when the season is still on-going. Imagine the repercussions of such a statement. Hence why he is saying what he is saying, respecting his current employer but at the same time leaving his future open, which is sensible. It's a standard PR answer.

Agree but doesn't it also unsettles the club, the team when your main player is thinking about leaving? It all feels so contradicting.

It would unsettle A LOT more if he came out right now and said he wanted to leave indicating his head's not in it anymore, don't you think? Not to mention the media shitstorm that would ensue, we would be completely unable to concentrate on the task in hand (finishing top 4). Also the way he's been playing shows that he's fully committed, so I don't think those rumours unsettle the squad at all. If he was a random benchie with barely 100 mins of game time it wouldn't be so bad, questions would still be asked though and our "crisis" would be magnified, but a key player like Hazard coming out and downing tools would send everything into chaos.

There was this one play where he demonstrated immense strength by holding onto the ball and turning while being pulled and hassled by a bigger Barca player, to then play a perfect through ball to Willian to kickstart a very dangerous counter that Willi wasted. In the first half he also broke into the box dribbling through two players and giving 2 dangerous balls in quick succession. He did all he could in a game like this and in a system where he was supposed to be a decoy and the instigator.

that just shows how smart Conte was with his tactics, thankfully it paid off in the end, caught all of us by surprise how well it worked, and on another day we would have won this game by 2 goals, this result just reflects how tight our encounters with Barca have been these past years, no other team has come close, only Atletico comes to my mind, it all comes down to tiny details in the Champions League.
