It's difficult outside the top 3 [Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, in this order], as it gets quite close in terms of ability then. For me I'd probably complete it with any of Suarez, Kroos, Modric, Lewandowski and maybe Neuer, Busquets or Ramos, and then you have the likes who are on a similar level as Eden like Alexis, Bale, Griezmann, Thiago, KdB, Courtois, De Gea etc. In fact, some could argue he's not even top 10. Neymar is a wonderful player indeed, but those dives are disgrace to football. Even Barca fans admited yesterday that he and Suarez are cunts when it comes to that. On another note, should Eden play in barca, he would be on same level as Neymar, but different qualities. I have no doubt about it. xPetrCechx, Chelsea? and communicate

But if you look at championships only, Eden is having much better season so far. Neymar picked it up in past weeks, but was poor before. And Busquets was having nightmare of season before recently too. Kante being best defensive midfielder of year so far deserves some mention in your list too, otherways you got all top performers right. He needs to elevate his level in very crucial games though. Like Didier, Lamps etc. used to do. Like Messi does. Like Suarez does. Like what Neymar just did. Eden hasn't done that here yet. @DYC. said it perfectly in his earlier post, Eden is basically still a 'talent' who still needs to add more to his game to get to that level. Neymar has already reached that though. Neymar has evolved his playmaking skills and tactical discipline, whilst retaining his goalscoring ability (not so much this season) and dribbling ability. He's complete now. Eden still isn't due to various reasons (not talent per se though). I wouldn't say either were so poor particularly either earlier in the season on Busquets and Neymar. Barcelona have had lots of ups and downs, and their form have both reflected that. They've both also had some injuries so that affects form naturally too. Their latest down was a bit longer but they've roared it back now, and are in contention to actually win the treble.

I think he will peak at around 28, hopefuly still here. kellzfresh and The Skipper

This is why you have different players in the squad, to give balance and not be one-dimensional. I feel Pedro compensates what Eden lacks very well and Eden compensates what Pedro lacks. This is one of the reasons why we have been so good this season going forward as opposed to when Hazard and Willian were playing together. Hazard is or at least should be a central player like he prefers and like he has been this season. He is more a playmaker than a runner and scorer, every Chelsea fan should have figured it out by now. If you force Hazard to be something he is not you take away the positives from his game (see last season for reference). And people saying he would never play a ball like Neymar yesterday and other shit should get a grip. Unprovoked negativity, Hazard had absolutely nothing to do with yesterday's game yet he's still brought up over here in bad light. It's alarming to me that you rate our star player so poorly that you bash him every time you get a stiff one on something somebody else in some other team does. Would Neymar have scored THAT goal against Arsenal? Let's think about that for a second. Sometimes I get these evil thoughts and wish he would just go, so I could read those same people crying and moaning like always. You lot deserve Kalouda. I agree with you partly but if you are referring to me with the second part of the post then you probably didn't read mine. I said it was a problem because some people are portraying Hazard as a world-class, elite and complete player, and for me, if he will continue to score 10-15 goals in a season and won't carry us in the CL, well, then he will never be this kind of player. I'm not saying that what he brings to our game is questionable, I'm saying that if he wants to be the best, this is not enough. I'm not putting him in bad light, just pointing out the truth. You need to understand the difference, I really can't emphasize it enough. I watched Hazard play football for the last 4 years and I have never seen him been so direct as Neymar was in that game (maybe except the second half against Spurs last year when he came on with fire in his eyes). Overall, the Brazilian had a really scrubby game up until the last minutes, but who will remember that? But if Eden has a quiet game you will probably forget he is on the pitch until the final whistle, that is the difference.

sutro 1,026
Soon as Hazard puts another worldclass performance down on the field he will be better than Neymar again, now its Neymar's turn after his performance against Psg..... Thats just how people are, only the last match counts. If you really want to compare them then you need to place Hazard in that barca team and Neymar in the chelsea team, otherwise its just quessing . Does it even matter who's the best of the two? Im glad we have Eden in our team and dont really care who's better than him killer1257 and King11Didier

Henry never scored in cup finals, can't recall him netting in a semi either compared to Didier who has scored loads in latter stages of tournaments yet barring our versions of Ty i doubt anyone would say Didier was the better player. Eden has only had one shot at the late stages of the CL and he just came back from injury and was facing a defense which was almost as good as ours in 2005.
