Eden Hazard

Poor as he's been this season I hope he doesn't leave before seeing how things go under the new manager.

New season, new manager, bolstered squad and he may return to the 2014/15 Hazard and we'd be title challengers and everyone's happy again.

Can only imagine the outrage if we sell him for half of what Spuds got for Bale and replace him with a couple of average players. If he's dead set on leaving then we shouldn't even consider selling until we have top replacements already agreed.

Chris Waddle thinks Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has never enjoyed playing in English football.

Hazard was the PFA Player of the Year in 2015 but his form has dipped drastically this season, amid rumours he is set to leave Stamford Bridge.

Waddle, who played in the French top flight for Marseille, said Hazard's performances remind him of Angel di Maria's, who struggled for form at Manchester United before moving to PSG.

Waddle said of Hazard: "Last year he put a shift in but I think he thinks, 'I can't do that again, it's not me running up and down that flank constantly defending'.”

The former England international continued: "It's too much leg work for them. They enjoy being in the other half.”

I really like Hazard and I think that he is a once in a generation kind of player but I think that the possibility of him leaving is becoming bigger every day. Now I just hope that we can get good players if we sell Hazard in the next transfer window. Maybe Griezmann or Berardi or even Kenedy could replace him

Hazard needs more love than he gets from some of the fans...

I find it hypocritical for the same people to diss Hazard, and reserve special praise for Mata.

Let's not forget, when the chips were down for Mata under Mourinho, he was the one who didn't bother to stay and fight for his place or try to improve his poor form at the time. He was the one who actually left in the middle of a season, and that too when there was a chance to fight for the title.  Not Hazard.

Just because he has never had a prolonged bad spell, or because he writes a blog about how he likes the fans of the club, I don't see why he should be put on a higher pedestal. And unlike Hazard, he has never driven the team to go and win a league title.

In case anyone is curious, I'm a big fan of the Spaniard and am very grateful for his time here..., but if he can get special rounds of applause every time he sets foot in Stamford Bridge, then Hazard deserves as much if not more.

It seems Hazard's fitness level has been low for the whole season. Less than 3 months of competitive football, and I really doubt at this point people really believe Hazard's problem is his fitness level.

Doesn't make any sense to compare Mata and Hazard in this aspect. Mata left because it was clear Mourinho saw him as an useless player, to other side Hazard has the status of the team's most important player. Mata's poor form came from the fact Mourinho was asking him to do the things that just don't fit his playing style (Mata is a typical #10, while Mourinho wanted a Willian kid of winger), while Hazard's poor performance come from lack of desire.

I hope we find a manager who can get the best out of him and turn him into a world class player(not that he isn't one) but still has some distance to travel in terms of consistency. He can't  have one brilliant season and one season  where he is invisible on the pitch.

The latest interview will make PSG surely go after him, I say place a price tag of 100mil. :D

Every player I thought who would become a legend at Chelsea have left (Lukaku, Mata, Luiz, KDB )  and he is not going to be any exception. Hazard already said he wants to win Champions League and if  we are not in the top 4 there is no way he is going to stay back.

Sell him for tank loads of cash, build the attacking side of the team around Willian and Costa. If he wants to gob shite about playing for PSG, Madrid or his fucking idol Zidane then fucking ship him out.

Had enough of his shite performances and his chatter in the press.....Jog on lad.

These Belgians have an awful PR ability. It seems they cannot handle an interview without giving all sort of ammunition to journalists. And that is not the first time it happens ; every time we play these Qatari he does the same mistake. The Board truly needs to forbid him to give interviews in those kind of situations.

Exactly. Courtois, KdB, lukaku and Hazard are all guilty of giving the media ammunition against Chelsea.

They should get a PR manager ASAP

Maybe it's me ?

i just think it's too easy to fall into the trap of believing media stories. It's all about context - and any quote taken out of context can look bad!

We as a forum are always super harsh on players. Yes, he's not had the best of seasons, but nobody, except Willian has. He's also picked up some nibbling injuries and does look devoid of confidence.

Maybe we should show these media outlets the credence they deserve - ignore them and let them wither and die.

that said I did expect more from Eden last night, please let him find some form in the next 3 weeks, I want to see him running at defenders with pace again and trying to score
