lol makes you almost hope the ban will stick so they will not invest it on those two turds. I actually do not care how much we get for Hazard because we either will not be able to do shit with it or do actual shit with it.

I think we will drop out of the top 4 but we will still be in Europe. Hazard leaving will cost us 20-25 points but others will step up in his absence so we regain maybe 10-15 points. I think 60 points are a reasonable tally for next season. And i honestly do not mind a few years of mediocrity to the point that i would stop being fan. sure i would want us to win titles but something radical such as a club sale would need to happen fo rus to be competitive again. We have been on a downward spiral not only since 2012 which was lucky and the (second) last hurray of the old guard but since 2010 where we last were the dominant force in England not only by luck but by sheer class and were unlucky to go out vs Inter in the CL (people talk about övröbo but we were denied 2 clear penalites here as well)

7 years ago this funny little Belgian guy arrived at the bridge. Amazingly talented, one of football best dribblers in the world. Already in his first game he made an impact with his signature spin move followed by an inch perfect assist to Ivanovic, a few minutes later proved himself too quick for Wigan's defence => penalty. Little did we knew then that this little boy, who breaths football joy, would be one of the most composed penalty takers the football world has ever seen! The fact that his last ball touch at the Bridge was a vital spot kick to send us to the EL Final is a great way to end: things have come full circle!

it's been great to have you at the Bridge. It's been great to witness your magic dribbling, passing and shooting skills the past 7 years. It's a semi miracle that a player of his quality was loyal to the club for so many years! And maybe most importantly: he got 4.761.991 tackles and NEVER ever saw him complaining! 

A top player, a top personality, a Chelsea Legend! Wish you all the best in your future career and remember where home is: KTBFHH!!!

I remember that as it was yesterday. 7 years man. 

I was on this forum for just few months and we we had thread for him because Chelsea was interested. I heard about him before, because I followed ligue 1 quite a lot and Lille was the best team then. I rarely watched ligue 1 games though, but I started after seeing couple of his highlights. He stood out and instantly became my favourite non Chelsea player. I saw plenty games in his final two seasons at lille. In all honesty, besides Chelsea, as a kid, I only watched Real games when Zidane was still there (I was also big France NT fan because of him and hence why I followed ligue 1 too) and then Eden in Lille. If he never came here, Id still watch him play elsewhere definately. He was pure joy to watch. Incredibly talented footballer.

On TC, there were daily discussions, everyone wanted to see him join Chelsea, but it was difficult because we didnt have that pulling power anymore. He was already a superstar by then and it was obvious he will make instant impact anywhere he goes. There was one funny part too, he pulled that mohawk haircut near the end of the season and the entire TC was like ; hopefuly he will have normal haircut if he joins here.  

Then by the end of season he appeared in lille stadium with his kid dressed in light blue, everyone thought he will join city.

It was dissapointing to realise he wont play for my favourite club.

Sometime later, we won CL, he said he is joining champions and as they say, the rest is history.

I've written countless times about what I dislike in his game, very specific points too.

Regarding your ridiculous name calling, which this forum seems to be ok with these days. You could have started, like, "no, you are wrong, he's great at CL." It would've been a lie, but at least responding to a semi-point I've actually made. Could’ve said he’s great in the pl which is definitely true, but not a cup.

Once again, up to this point, only one of us is name-calling. I made a point that you did not retort, just criticized without any argument.

I see SEVERAL deficiencies in his game, but whatever. That's why I'm not a fan, not because he's leaving. I'm not salty, sad, angry, because I've had the very same opinion for years, and Eden did very little to change that.

the only thing I’m slightly disappointed about is that we did not sell him sooner for more money.
