Since when is having too many good players on your team a bad thing? It's the opposite. It's a great thing.

Look at United. They had 10 good strikers on the team and still went out and signed RVP. Was he necessary? No. But he still makes them better.

We are Chelsea FC. We are not a small club but a lot of you still have this small club mentality acting like it's crazy for us to sign a bunch of good players. Do you see United, or City, or Madrid, or Barca not signing great players just because they have other good players? Hell no. So why shouldn't we do the same?

We are big club, some of you need to stop thinking like we are Tottenham or some other worthless club.

ManU didn't have 10 great strikers, they had Rooney and Welbeck. Van Persie is a massive upgrade on Welbeck so they signed him. Either way, we're talking about 3 players for 2 positions which is very manageable not 7 or 8 for 3. It's just wasteful, especially for the price. There is such a thing as having too many players because it means that some players won't play. Let's say we got Hulk. Where does he play? On the right of midfield with Hazard and Mata next to him. Where would Ramires play? As a sub? Oscar? Maybe he could play occasionally for Lampard but he's probably behind Frank and Meireles there right now. Moses and Marin would basically never play.

ManUre had Welbeck, Rooney, Chicarito, Berbatov, etc. certainly didn't need to add a RVP.

Who cares if some players don't play? This isn't an intramural league where everybody gets fair and equal playing time. It's about playing the best players, not the most.

Just look at Spain in Euros. Mata couldn't sniff the field and he was our best player last year. Was Spain having quality depth such a horrible thing? Do you think Spain cares about which good players they have that aren't playing when they are winning anyway?

Hulk can play on the right wing....but really...it doesn't matter where he plays. Having too many good players on your team is never a bad thing, it's a great thing.

Who cares if Moses and Marin never play if there are better players playing instead of them? Did Spain care that Mata never played because Iniesta, Xavi, and Silva were playing over him? Nope.

Some of you just don't get it. It's about having the best team. Not the most fair team with the most evenly distributed playing time.

Why are you comparing a club and a national team?

Spain didn't pay 16m and then keep the player - or players in this case - on the bench.

There's no point at all in signing Moses especially, then getting Hulk - it's just wasting money and talents.

A world class player like RVP at 24M is a great business no matter how many decent players you have at his position. A question mark like Hulk at 42.5M meanwhile is a complete huge risk when you have perfectly capable players like Moses, Sturridge and Ramires playing his position. Hell, we are pushing one of Hazard and Mata to RW every now and then and seem to be doing just fine. If anything I want us to improve the double pivot positions

I think our current squad is good and can compete, but I think Hulk can put us up there with the favorites. Money of course is an issue, but as a fan I figure Ill let those who know way more than me decide what a player is worth. As to Moses, you need squad depth, especially when you play in as many competitions as we are this year. We need to unload some dead weight though, guys like Malouda, Benayoun, and possibly Kakuta. Our midfield would be world class with Hulk, and he could play striker if Torres needed a night off or got injured or started sucking again. We have a lot of creativity in our midfield now, but Id like to add another goal scoring threat, which Hulk is

Hulk is not coming and i`m glad. time to move onwards and upwards.

better talent out there for cheaper. Porto took the piss just like Levy did last year, they can live with the consequences in the future like Levy and Tottenham are now.

Yeah good luck keeping them happy, big difference between playing for your country and sitting on the bench and playing for a club team and not getting into the squad. Let's see how long Welbeck and Hernadez stuck around at OT.

Also a problem with squad sizes, financial fair play blah blah blah.

We all want good players, but we also want a stable club not likely if you buy every player who ever becomes available.

Much like City recently also, with Adam Johnson leaving. He hardly got any minutes and is a quality player. Shame Sinclair is falling into the same trap.

I don't want players like Ramires sitting on the bench and Marin not even on the bench because our squad is too big. Having a first choice 11 is important for cohesion, that would be very difficult if we sign Hulk. Not to mention the financial implications. It has nothing to do with being a 'big club'. Our squad is big and strong enough as it is.

City, Barca and Real Madrid haven't spent much this summer and United might have gone for RVP because Rooney will be sold.

Still reading "news" about him joining Chelsea this summer... but is there any logical explanation in signing him? We're deep right now in the attacking 3 positions so what's the point in buying him for about 45m?! If anything we should rather look for a 3rd choice striker with a good aerial game, a big body and a decent finishing ability. I know our biggest problem is still the double pivot but we're stacked there with too many average players and I doubt we can sell one of them till this transfer window ends, so it's better to fill at least the other gap.

But seriously, why on earth should we need Hulk now?!

We have to remember that we are not only in Premier league,, still there FA and Carling cup,,the reason RDM didn't make too many change in EPL,,because he trying to find a strongest team for to challenge in PL,,player like Romeu Sturridge, oscar, marin i think will be the main team for FA and carling cup,,and player like Hulk we will need him in Champion League

I think our squad is good enough to win the title. Although a DM or CF and we can be very confident.

Agreed, but we need to, at least, first offload Maoulda and Benayoon (maybe Kakuta too).

Otherwise the squad would be overloaded (even with all the competitions chelsea is always involved)!

Don't think we NEED to. Look at Citeh. Malouda and Benayoun could perhaps get some games in the carling cup and be useful when we really need to rotate. They give us a lot of depth.

Very surprised by Sinclair, you thought he would have learned whilst at Chelsea. Seems he is making that same mistake with this latest transfer.
