Come on Shane, you know that wint happen, Silva is undoubtedly the pound for pound greatest MMA fighter ever.

No, if the club are content with their current regime then they won't sack their manager. However we don't have a manager and if Abramovich was completely happy with Di Matteo then he would be the manager already on a long term contract. Barcelona's style and philosophy was such that the "big man" option was never that important m, when they did have Ibrahimovic (a genuinely world class target man) he didn't have the impact expected. To say he didn't have a plan B us extremely harsh when you consider the amount of formations he employed during his time as head coach and his tinkering of roles and positions (Messi, Fabregas, Sanchez to name 3).

That's ridculous. You could name any side winning a major trophy and find a handful on contentious decisions. The easiest job in the world? I've wrote about how that is completely false before and I will get back to you in that in a separate comment.

At Chelsea, ability in the transfer market isn't that important. After all we have secured a deal for Hazard and are closing in on Hulk despite not having a manager, Torres too is another Roman signing. Also Sanchez has been fairly successful and has added something different to Barcelona. Ibrahimovic was the plan B that you wanted. Fabregas is only a season in and had a terrific first half of the season and Guardiola's deployment of him was creative. Ad delay was injured all season, nothing Pep can do about that, he is a very promising talent and he was bought at a cheap price.

He signed AVB, the closest thing you could get to Guardiola short of the man himself or raising Barcelona's coaches. He yearns for beautiful football and it's no secret that he wants the first team and youth teams to play in a Barcelona type way, I feel pretty safe saying the Guardiola is Abramovich's dream manager.

Sonnen kicked the shit out of him before, and he'll do it again!

To say they had no plan B is not harsh. You mention that he employed different formations, But it was the same thing, pass the ball to death around the box. It got predictable. It also seemed to tire Barcelona out themselves. You seen in the second leg at the Nou Camp, they were slow. Towards the end, bar Messi, they created nothing. On Ibra, he paid 46 million, Gave the Eto'o, and Hleb on loan, and then sold him after one season for 24 million! Thats laughable business!

If he is Chelsea's manager he's going to have to go into the Transfer market sometime, and he has not been impressive in it so far. He's also had Xavi, Inestia and Lionel fucking Messi handed to him, i'd expect him to win things. He also never bought a decent left back tbf. That should have been his priorty instead of splashing out on players in positions he didn't need.

Yeah, he got AVB, and that worked out well. I imagine he's learned his lesson.

Can it be Pep as Manager and Robbie as A.Manager?

More like Pep as assitant and Robbie as manager.

Frank Rijkaard >>> Guardiola. If Guardiola had taken the reigns at Barcelona when Rijkaard did and Rijkaard never managed Barcelona, I highly doubt they'd be anywhere near where they have been these past few seasons.

Surely Rijkaard would like to swap the Saudi Arabian job for the Chelsea job.

Rijkaard better than Guardiola?!

Shocking. Just shocking.

hey guys i was thinking. if we get guardiola i remember messi saying that hes like a dad to him so maybe messi would like to come too because he doesnt want to lose his parent. we would need a good transfer offer though so maybe we could give barcelona sturridge and maybe torres as well. also if messi came then i think xavi would be sad and would come too and replace lampard, then we could retain champions league.

I'm really conflicted on how I feel about this. I think Di Matteo should get the job, but I have huge doubts over what he can actually achieve.

Deep down I might favor Pep coming here, but I'm not sure about that either. Di Matteo and/or Guardiola could be huge flops.

That's more or less how I feel too. The task Chelsea's manager has in front of him is very hard either way. Both RdM and Guardiola would be big risks (not unlike AVB in terms of size).

If RDM isn't appointed i'll lose all faith with the Chelsea board. I'd go as far and say it'll take some of the gloss of the Champions League win.

Funny that. Till now we've been losing faith in the Chelsea board almost annually for caring only about results. Now we're about to lose faith cause they might not base their decision on half a dozen results.

Pep is the ultimate manager for the blue machine.

Roman wants to dominate the world with this team and do it in style.

And I don't see no other manager doing that then Pep...Mourinho is good, but too controversial.

RDM did great but did not showed no spark of creative football during his time with Chelsea.

However giving the tough situation in which RDM was, I think he did the smartest thing.

Which is what leave us with a conundrum? Do we hire Pep and forget about RDM?

Well I think Pep has giving us a great window. With his one year of we can easily wait for him and try to work it out with RDM for one more year.

After one year the club should have a better view of what's going on.

If RDM is truly capable of implementing a better style?

How is he doing with the new recruits? etc etc.

Well speaking of blue machines, we'll be going from this:
