Right-back Ramires?

Ramires can only fit in our 4-3-3 system, and with Hazard looking like he will join us it seems that we will definitely be playing 4-2-3-1 in the future.

People are getting stupid and just putting your love and passion for Ramires over reality, you cannot be blinded by anything like that.

Fact is he cannot fit in the 4-2-3-1 system, FFP is coming up, he can go for at least 20 million, then sell him.

exactly!! what im tryin to say only i know sloth says it better and get more attention hahahahaha.

found it after i posted!

Why sell your best players?

What?, i was talking about one player Ramires, not player(s)!. He is not our best player if we get Hulk and Hazard, he will no where near be our best player. He cannot fit in the system, so we have to sell him, stop thinking of your love for him and start thinking realistically, financial fair play is coming up.

People cannot see it, they are blinded by there love for him and the Rami who still has lots to learn and will be better. So lets keep him on the bench and only play him in big games, yeah because we clearly didn't need that 20 odd million, that wouldn't of helped.

If we do get Hulk, there's no doubt he would make the superior winger. I mean Ramires is not primarily a Winger he's a midfielder and was being played there due to our lack of resources, yes he's done well there but I'm sure he wouldn't mind playing as a Midfielder. Ramires can easily be rotated with Mikel & Lamps. Also as you can probably gather from my initial post, getting rid of one of our better players is not an idea I'm that comfortable with; and I wouldn't sell players due to a concern over FFP. I honestly wouldn't be too worried about the FFP side of things, Chelsea got a sh*t load of money from the UCL and should surely know the ins and outs of it. Bottom line is this tactical question mark is where the manager earns his money.

I thought Ivanovic to Spain was just a baseless rumour from earlier this year? He's definitely an important player for us but then again £23M is one hefty price tag..

If we were to sell Ivan, Mikel and the Bison we could be looking at some serious wonga :sweating:

£££££££££££££££££££££££££

What so we just keep him there for big games is that it?, i love his pace i do but it's not worth it.

We can cash in on this guy and it will benefit us a lot, someone else can take place of his wages and we will have a lot of cash to go out and spend on another player or let it balance the books (which is very important).

he isn't useless against the smaller teams, mate. also, we can save a lot more by not buying hulk anyday. ramires and sturridge on the right is enough if we are looking to save cash but if we do sign hulk then it should be essien malouda in the exit list ahead of ramires

He wouldn't make a bad fullback, but we need him to play on the wing to maintain the balance.

I mean this here is extremely unstable:

---------------Torres----------

Hazard-------Mata--------Hulk

---------------------------------

---------------------------------

---------------------------------

---------Mikel----Ramires---

Whereas, this:

------------------Torres--------------

Hazard----------Mata---------------

----------------------------------------

------------------------------Ramires

----------------------------------------

---------Mikel-----Lampard--------

...looks much better to me.

Yeah, Hulk's not well known for his defensive diligence. We can't have him in the team without someone present to cover for him.

Roman wants to play Attacking football. I think he'll leave the defence to the defenders and Midielders. I fully expect to see a Front three of Torres, Hazard, Mata and Hulk.

Sorry this topic is nonsense plus the discussion about him or Mikel as DM, he is NO DM, I stated this from day one and we did see it in so many games and than everybody was agreeing he is no DM and now its starting again he is a class act as box-to-box and sometimes if you have no choice as RW thats it... and we can not afford to loose him, because we surely will play many formations and not only 4-2-1-2-1 where he can be the CM paired with the one fixed DM running and running in the middle of the park...

His attributes do make him very useful if we are in desperate need of a right back and I would not be too worried seeing him there temporarily if there were a lot of injuries but him moving to that position would leave our midfield with a problem. We are becoming more and more reliant on his pace and Munich showed how limited our counter attack options were without him. His attribute of sprinting over long distances is unique and he is the best in the world at doing what he does.

It will be a sad day when Hulk is unnecessarily signed and somebody as talented as Ramires is shunted onto the bench. We do not need another attacking midfielder we have Ramires, de Bruyne, Hazard, Mata, Malouda, Marin and Sturridge as well as Piazon if needed. In a 4-2-3-1 formation Ramires works well and he also works well in the midfield of a 4-3-3 because he can make runs from deep and not be picked up as well.

If Ramires does end up on the bench for somebody who gets a load of hype due to having a comic book name he would be an extremely effective impact sub to run at tired defenders for the last 15 minutes but he can do that anyway because of his stamina anyway.

For 23m, I'd relectuantly sell Ivanovic. Good business.

I'd go after Sime Vrsaljko from Dinamo Zagreb, one of my favorite RBs right now. Couldn't be more than 8m.

No, just no. He was good a in the 2010/11 but no where near as good atm.

Wondering if Hutch can provide the back-up for Bane though.
