David Luiz

Didn't think I'd see the day... multiple pictures of David Luiz without Ramires. :o

In all seriousness, he seemed quite pensive tonight, which is understandable given the importance of the occasion and the amount of time on the sidelines he's had to endure. Although he did seem a liability at times, he did show recurrent glimpses of the classy centre-half he can become. Once he's sorted out his decision-making, he'll be a fantastic asset to the side. He and Cahill are both comfortable in possession and I can see the going on to make a solid partnership at the heart of our defence for years to come if all goes to plan.

Was incredibly worried in 1st half, he didn't look match fit at all and made too many mistakes. But later he stepped up and was solid. He also showed the rest of the guys how to beat neuer, with sheer power.

At times yesterday, thought he was being his old self - making unnecessary and silly rash challenges. Other than that though, he did pretty well for someone who hasn't played in over a month AND his penalty was emphatic!

The guy was solid tonight. Loved how he reacted after he scored his penalty, it was like he was saying to Bayern fans "I scored you idiots, and we will win this".

Love his emotion and his spirit, really determined he is. He said he wanted to make it up for us for his Genk miss when he missed the penalty.

I bet he will be one of the best centre backs we've ever had in 5 years time i just know it.

I'd honestly say in 2 seasons he'll be the best CB in the league next to Kompany, Cahill and Koscielny

LOL!, Koscielny?, he's twice the player he is anyway, Koscielny only stands out in the Arsenal defence he still makes mistakes and scores 5 own goals a season.
