Yaya Toure

Bit harsh on Rodwell, he hasn't even made 10 appearances for City due to injuries..

I meant their midfield as a whole hasn't been good enough, and his absence has been one of the reasons. He looked decent against us, but he's also looked dodgy in others. They also suffered from Toure's absence at the ACON, much like we did with Mikel's.

I'm not ignoring it, I'm simply saying that we're playing in a 4231 now. I'm not sure why you bought up the 433 if I'm being honest and in that scenario I think he could play either the 'Makelele-role' or further forward.

Yes and like i said before, it's very usefull to have experience to play a makelele role. (which i already said on the last page...)

I took 4-3-3 since most of the people here on the forum (you can see that in various topics) seem to want to go for 4-3-3/dont understand why we stick with 4-2-3-1.

Also with me wanting to sign yaya i'm actually saying we should give Chabolah a chance...

If we would sign someone like lets say de rossi/ witsel, he would be here for the long run prolly and i doubt Chabolah would play any time soon for us...

Right, at the risk of getting involved in whatever is going on up there, I think Toure is dirty cunt, but that's not why I don't want to sign him. He's clearly on the decline. The good performance he put in this season can be counted on one hand. Practically, he'll be another Deco. I would much rather see us invest in a more permanent solution.

And IIRC, this is the second time he has come out and threaten City to give him a new contract or he'll leave. That in itself should already tell us much about his character.

Good point - with all the recent turmoil hoping for some stability - this could be adding fuel to the fire...

Wait, so people don't want him cause of his whole incident with Mata?

lol

No because he is turning 30 on massive wages, has a horrible attitude and just would not be a smart investment. No matter how good he is now.

The club is just beggining to end the era of 'Player Power' and people are seriously considering this man and Tevez? The dressing room was toxic once, why take all those steps foward only to do this?

Someone else believes like I do that Chalobah will be the next if thing.

I'm another one. He was sensational last night and ran the show in my opinion. This kid needs a challenge because everything just looks so easy for him, and I'd back him to step up (like he has done at every level) if he was thrown into the first-team next season.

Yes he's young, yes he's comparatively inexperienced but just watch him. He has something that 99% of players would give their left legs for.

However, Watford's Nathanial Chalobah, who can play at centre-half or centre-midfield is someone I would put in the England squad now. He is elegant, athletic and has a great temperament, while he has also excelled at all international age groups he has represented; he reminds me of a young Yaya Toure in that he can influence a game from any position. He is THE outstanding talent in English football and could POSSIBLY replace Frank Lampard in the Chelsea's engine rom next season but will DEFINITELY play for England.
