Nathan Aké

Ake has been out since pre-WBA which would be around 3 weeks prior to Sporting, so by the 3 week logic he could be back for it.

Yeah, but at the time of his injury (which was with the Netherlands U21 NT) it was said that he needed 6 weeks to recover.

It would be such a shame if he missed the Sporting and the Derby game.. I like this guy a lot.

  • 2 weeks later...

We could loan him to a club where he would play every week. I'm sure a lot of championship teams at least would be happy to take him. Actually nah it would be better if we keep him here for the rest of the season so he can play for 15 minutes in an FA cup 4th round game against Blackburn

Either one is just going to be as bad for him as the other alternative. Chelsea seem to, for the most part, suck at loans. They either send players out to teams that don't actually give them minutes (Atsu at Everton) or they don't notice when they done well and utilise them when they've returned (De Bruyne, Sturridge, etc)

Also kalas-koln,chalobah-burnley, wallace-inter and swift-rotherham.

McEachran at Vitesse really takes the cake for me..

We can't force manager's to play these player's, tbh id prefer it that way, that way we will know the ones that are playing have really earned there spot in the team, a bit like Sturridge-Bolton.

Having said that Vittese is our sister club practically, if McEachran isn't getting a game it's more than likely down to him rather than any thing or any one else.

Josh started for Vitesse yesterday, as did Bertrand Traore who scored their goal in a 1-1 draw.

Of course, but that's not what I mean. If the club is aware talent isn't being used, whether at the fault of player or club, then they should recall them and find an alternative club. That could be a club a step down or just another style of play. From what it looked, Everton really wanted Atsu but are yet to use him.. I believe he was being used a lot more last season

recording to the SportBild Wolfsburg want ake on loan or permanent

SportBild explain in their magazine this week that the German club had identified Nathan Ake as a loan or permanent transfer target and therefore contacted Chelsea.

The response so far hasn't been very encouraging for Wolfsburg. Jose Mourinho is said to rate the 19 year old Dutchman very highly and the German club were informed that right now Chelsea have no intention of sellingicon1.png, or even loaning, Ake. There may be some room for persuasion on the latter, Ake needs games to progress and he could push for a loan chance himself.

He moved to Chelsea in 2012 and, unlike many of the club's young recruits, he hasn't been on a loan move since.

Is he injured at the moment or something? Expected him to partner Matic/Fab in place of Mikel to be honest.

Such a tidy player and impressed everytime I see him.

He was out for a few weeks, just got back to training so probably not fully fit yet.
