To be honest, Romeu >>> Fellaini.

Romeu was superb in almost every game this season. His best attribute was his extraordinary positioning - something which the Afro-man needs to work on.

Romeu is very, very good for his age indeed. If Pep happen to manage us, only god knows what a beast Romeu will become.Btw now when I think if we play high-line next season I don't think Mikel can be a starter .., nor JT.

Ofcourse I'm a bit biased, but I have to disagree. Fellaini may have less quality pure as a DM compared to Romeu (if about that I'm not quite sure), but Fellaini has so much more all-round qualities. Everton with or without Fellaini, it's noticeably different.

Disagree on epic proportions, Fellaini is so much more accomplished. He gave some outstanding performances last season (vs. City & Utd especially), and while I wouldn't necessarily say that we need to sign a player like Fellaini at this time, if Essien/Mikel/Meireles were to leave, he'd be my first choice over promoting Romeu, and I'd imagine it'd be a more realistic scenario knowing our board. I certainly believe that Romeu could develop into a great player, I have my doubts about his ability to progress at a club like ours, we don't give time for players like him to develop. Sad, but true.

We have Ramires, Lampard, Meireles battling for one spot. Adding a Luka Modric to the mix doesnt make that much sense because it really wont be that much of an improvement. For the DM spot we only have Mikel and Romeu, neither who are world class. We will be getting another DM this summer and for me its between this fella or Tiote.

What, Fellaini and Tiote are world class then?

Romeu has amazing potential, and Mikel has been playing outstanding recently. There is absolutely no need for getting another DM. Meireles isn't battling for a spot, he is nowhere near good enough to be a starter.

Essien should be released. He's finished. We got Mikel and Romeu for that spot. Lampard, Ramires and Luiz can take that role aswell.

Why don't people realize that Luiz can't play in the midfield? It has been experimented and failed.

We have only 2 Ball winners on the roster that i would like to see get playing time: Mikel and Romeu. What if the first game of the season Mikel get a terrible injury and is out for the rest of the season? Would Romeu play the rest of games, or we would just use 2 CMs and hope for the best? I think we need a Ya Ya Toure counter, and we need depth. We Will be getting a new DM this offseason, were already linked with several.

As to wether or not tiote and fellaiani are world class? maybe they re not but Those are the 2 best in the premier league. Id be happy with either one. And I agree Essien needs to leave!

No and big NO.

Reasons:

1. We have Mikel

2. We have Romeu

3. In sistem 4:2:3:1, only one DM can play (Mikel and CM Lamps)

4. We need creative CM much more, Modric or Moutinho

5. Fellaini would cost us 15mio for position where we already have enough players. Defence is not our problem, but attack (has been sorted now) and creative midfield.

6. instead of Fellaini, Witsel would be more usefull.

Don't know where people are getting 15m from, we signed him for 16m, he signed a 5 year contract last season and has been an exceptional player for us and the premier league in general.

Also

He was named young player of the year at the end of his first season at Goodison Park but it is during the past 12 months his influence has told. No Everton player covered more distance than the 130 miles Fellaini devoured last season, completed more passes (821) or made more tackles (87).
