They’ve just dominated and won the treble but will only get even stronger by adding to their squad. As long as Pep is there they’ll be strong favorites. and they will , I assume. make moves for both fullbacks slots insane if they do not, that is their clear weakness (on the offensive end), as we saw tonight Ake and Akanji offer basically fuckall offensively, which when De Bruyne cannot go, is a real issue Walker is not the answer, at least not for Pep, he publicly ripped him, and he turns 34 at the end of next season, and zero chance they keep Cancelo after the bust up and loan. plus Mendy is so gone for legal reasons (and is pretty shit anyway) Edited June 10, 2023 by Vesper

I just hope the law of averages catches up with them eventually., and they come off their peak. But with factory of readymade replacements for outgoing or ageing star players means their squad is always replenished. Yeah, I think as long as Pep is there, they will create havoc for everyone else in the league. Unless he loses interest and fucks off, or City get charged (unlikely), it's going to be a long, agonizing wait.
Pizy 18,903
The only real hope City’s domestic rivals have is that the eventual replacements for De Bruyne, Gündogan, Bernardo, Mahrez generation don’t work out as well. And more importantly that Pep gets burned out and retires. The only team that has bettered them in recent years had to be just about perfect. And they still barely squeaked it. All it takes in 1 bad month over a 38 game season and you see what happened with Arse this year. That’s how absurd their squad is.

Liverpool easily won that year, by 18 points all teams were shit except for Pool, Manure pipped us on GD for 3rd and they did not even win half their games Edited June 10, 2023 by Vesper
Magic Lamps 11,692
Lol they are showing Man City public viewing in German TV, already half empty, ppl going home what a terrible final. Not sure if worse as last year but the two best chances of the game had inter. They defended with valour but if you have clowns like Lautaro and Lukaku up front you can as well just throw the towel
robsblubot 3,595
It does look like despite not being that old KDB's legs are not cooperating anymore. He's the one player they will have a very hard time replacing.

Still, Liverpool were insane that season. Anyone hoping to finish above City will have to be a team capable of wining all huge numbers of games in a row and barely slip up at all. Johnnyeye 7,509
Congrats to City, didnt want them to win the CL and be treble winners, but it is what it is, they were bound to win at some point, as much as it pains me to say it they are the best team in the world atm, Inter had their chances but couldnt capitalize, and Lukaku the less said the better, the bigger the moment the bigger the choke. I think it’s arguably a better treble than United’s one also which will be the inevitable comparison. On paper at least, that City team is better then the United 99 team. DH1988 1,348
Nobody remembers how you play in finals and even if it’s brought up the narrative is quickly the ILOVEBRITISHTEAMS mentality of commentators to turn shite performance into ‘determined’ ‘gritty’ blah blah blah, end of the day we all knew they’d take a catastrophic cock up to not beat Inter and they almost did. Treble is mightily special and congrats, if I were Pep I’d call it there, naturally.

Weren't involved don't give a crap. Nice for City I guess. Even though have spent spent spent it still takes someone to make it all work which Pep has..unfortunately. Not our rivals and won't be for a while unless we actually start playing again and again and again

LAM09 7,051
Lukaku in a nutshell. He's been instrumental in Belgium's & Inter's failures. With regards to City, it's weird that they've won the treble and hardly anyone cares.
