The remainder of the season Kakuta should be sent to a Championship side on loan just so that he plays week in and out and gains his confidence back. This loan move should be purely to bring his confidence back. Once thats done, next season he should be sent to a premier league side like Swansea or Hamburg on loan. Need of the hour for him is minutes on the pitch

we don't agree often but on this we fully agree... and ppl should put they're brain on hes 20 forg gods sake, a normal player blossoms at 22 and breakts through (like stuge or mata)

Middlesbrough would be the perfect loan for him, they are looking for a left winger, they have Marin Emnes on the right. But no one to play on the left, they have a scottish youngster Andy Haliday who is injured constantly, but he's nothing special. And besides that they put a striker, such as Tarmo Kink, or they will play Barry Robson there who is a central midfielder. Middlesbrough are also going up definitley, there squad is too good, they get a bit unlucky conceding last minute goals, they have drawn 4 times from last minute equalises, but they will definitley go up, there too consistent to not go up. I think that would be perfect for Kakuta, 2 years there would be brilliant, he would be playing most games, getting confidence from the team winning and good midfield behind him. And also he will be probably playing with them in the premier league if he gets 2 years. Would be a good deal, the only two teams who are good enough to go up in the Championship are West Ham and Boro, mark my words Southhampton are just on form, infact there losing now and they wont go up, they still have to many league 1 players still.

Gäel Kakuta just confirmed he is being loaned out to French side Dijon #CFC

Make it or break it, now?

Dijon are enjoying a solid if unspectacular debut season in Ligue Une after achieving a maiden promotion to this level last season. Midfielder Benjamin Corgnet has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as one of the club’s key performers so far in 11-12, but connections to Chelsea are much stronger than that.

The club is partly owned by Florent Malouda and the veteran winger’s younger brother Lesly is also on the books at Stade Gaston Gérard. French reports suggest that the older Malouda will have played a key role in making the move possible.

So he does come in use.. sometimes.

He's certain to play at Dijon for the time he's there, they've been woeful this season. Corgnet has been one of the few players to have caught the eye; him and Eric Bautheac have been quite impressive for them, but they look like certainties to go down from Ligue Un this season.

If this fact played a role in the loan, then it is a good omen. Josh seems to going to Bolton because of the relationship André/Coyle, too. So if from now on we send players to "friends" - à la Red Nose - we might have a better record with loans in the futur.

Indeed. Networking's how Ferugson's kept his loan's, for the majority, successful. As André looks to establish. More signs of long-term thinking from our young manager :)

"My challenge is succeed at Chelsea but I know I need to improve," - Kakuta
"We have a verbal agreement with the player but nothing has been officially signed," Carteron was quoted as saying in the Dijon daily Le Bien Public.

"My idea is not to sign players for the sake of it. We want to strengthen the squad, not just replace players.

"Gael Kakuta is a rough diamond, someone who can bring us something extra."
