This has just completly contradicted the notion of innocent until proven guilty. The FA have been guided by the media big time.

I naturally wanted Lamps to inherit it after I head of the decision, but now I just think it's not worth it. We/he don't need this bollocks that comes with being the captain. I'm sure anybody would take great-pride in the accolade of being captain, but the FA circus and the media scrutiny that come's with it is a very heavy burden that we fans and the player, can do without.
