manpe 10,861
I first said Sturridge without contest, but come to think about it, Mata is probably the smartest dribbler we have... like someone said, he doesn't do it often but when he does, it's effective. I still remember him embarrassing practically the whole City team.
Kostas 1,468
..And Bosingwa. Our fullbacks are actually better dribblers than some of our forwards. Bosingwa may have only pace but Ash and Ferreira are more than decent and could easily challenge the likes of Kalou and the modern Malouda. The Big Drog 1,110
Im assuming the people who are voting for Torres mean Torres in his Liverpool pomp, our version of Torres must be one of the worst dribblers of the ball I've ever seen play in a top league. He receives the ball, sometimes his touch is awful and he loses possession, sometimes its very good and he is able to get on the move. Then when he does move it seems to be in slow motion (particularly compared to his previous blistering speed), his direction and stepovers must be the most obvious regular occurrence in football, any decent defender can predict where and when he will arrive with the ball even if that defender had his eyes closed, if Chelsea Torres is the best dribbler at the club then it is possible that his teammates each only have 1 leg. Peace. 4,352
..And Bosingwa. You must be joking. He knows only one trick, and it's to overplay his opponent on the one side while overrunning him on the other. No needs to say it works once out of a gazillion time... ja1 1,166
Cole and Ferriera good dribblers...ok then. Torres is not a dribblerRamires' unortodox style of dribbling is effective. He is never fully in contol of the ball IMO but is just so fast and committed as well as having a bit of flair when he's on the run he gets past players alot. McEachran has a natural ghost dribbling effect and so does Mata. Sturridge, Kalou and Luiz are also decent dribblers
The Big Drog 1,110
Though he isn't actually apart of the squad anymore, Nic Anelka deserves an honourable mention, such a naturally gifted player with a lovely, effortless style of dribbling. Rambo 1,729
Definitely Kalou I could be wrong but FIFA 12 has him as our best dribbler.
ja1 1,166
And another strange suggestion pops up
Blue Armour 4,448
Surprised no-one mentioned Malouda or McEachran...Flo was pretty good when he was in form and he was sure of what he was doing unlike Robinho who did pointless step-overs...So Robben and Malouda...From the current crop I would go for Sturridge and Josh... Joshyboy 36
Yeah like I said up top of the post, I don't really see any natural dribblers in the squad, Mata can get past his man, with a feint or a quick turn of pace but I wouldn't call that orthodox dribbling, Ramires just charges past them, Sturridge has some good wing play and can wrong foot a defender or two but hes not really dribbling past them, Kalou runs at people and their so busy laughing they forget to tackle. Bosingwa and Cole can knock the ball past the opponent and use their pace to get past but again not REALLY dribbling so I think that leaves us without a fully fledged dribbling magician
ja1 1,166
Malouda was good at dribbling. Now his pace, acceleration and change of direction is all rubbish so he has to heavily simplify his game to be anywhere close to effective. ja1 1,166
Cole's pace is so overrated and he I don't think I have ever seen him take on a player in the last 18 months.
LDN Blue 7,903
Our fullbacks are actually better dribblers than some of our forwards. Bosingwa may have only pace but Ash and Ferreira are more than decent and could easily challenge the likes of Kalou and the modern Malouda. You're definitely right. Ironically we sent one of our better dribblers out on loan recently, it's one thing that Kakuta can do. We seldom see it, for obvious reasons, but he's quite good at it.You must be joking. He knows only one trick, and it's to overplay his opponent on the one side while overrunning him on the other. No needs to say it works once out of a gazillion time...Haha yeah I was joking, I couldn't bothered to add a troll face

Marvin123 538
I seen malouda dribbling in shock and awe at mata owning that left flank!

ja1 1,166
McEachran is a good, natural dribbler. Just needs to do a feint or a deep of the shoulder and can glide past the player. I now it is a cliche but it can't be taught. Sturridge does not have this although he is still a good dribbler
Ollie 4,400
Torres against Stoke on the opening day and a few times at Old Trafford were our best examples of dribbling this season. I genuinely believe Torres is our best dribbler when at his best. He hasn't scored many for us but has shown great dribbling skill on occasion. We've got many in truth, yet we struggle breaking through defences, strange with the talent we have. Sturridge also up there. Obviously Robben is the best i've even seen in a Blue shirt.TorresLuizRamiresMataSturridgeEven Malouda showed a glimpse last game. They can all dribble
Blue-in-me-Veins 4,067
Between Luiz and Studge. But that's not good enough, we need a nani type player cuz frankly nobody can attrack a double team or pass a man. Anybody sensing a hazard deal in the making?? termninja 5,290
First, some of you need to understand that dribbling can be a simple flick on helps you beat a defender. It doesn't have to be a jaw dropping feint that ties up the opposition player in a fisherman's knot. Therefore I would say, Mata and Ramires as the best players in terms of dribbling. They know exactly when to go for a dribble and usually succed. Ramires is one of the players with the most dribbles in the whole PL.On a bit lower level then them, Sturridge and Torres. Torres just can't show it much due to his lack of confidence but he was a nightmare for defenders before his injury. Sturridge sometimes choses the bad moment or tries a unnecesary feint.McEachran is very talented when it comes to dribbling and it comes to naturally to him. Malouda is not bad, but his lack of pace is not helping him there.
