Chelsea's Best Dribbler

I know alot of people will probably say Mata, yeah he's quite mercurial and he can slip past a defender but hes not really a DRIBBLER, at least I wouldn't say so, also Torres pointless stepovers don't count!

Any thoughts? I think its an area we could improve in, its become a pretty vital part of the game now, not to mention this "sexy football" Roman wants us playing its a pretty key element.

Sturridge, Luiz, Ramires. Probably in that order too.

Yeah i'll second that actually, Sturridge has looked good cutting inside and darting around and Ramires goal against city last season shows hes got some samba skills!

I think its Mata, thats a classic dribbler, not very fast but still good enough to leave some defenders in the ground, Sturridge is not that good dribbler, reminds me sometimes of Robinho, run, run, make some funny things with the ball and...nothing happens. Most part of his goals in this season happened when he was there as finisher, a pure striker.

Its funny that some mentioned Ramires, because in Brazil we never saw him as dribbler, and I think he is more a runner than a dribbler, so my vote goes for Mata, the classic man with shirt 10, I hope AVB stop using him as a winger, because he's been wasted in that position.

He's definitely not a dribbler in the traditional way but when he glides past players using his agility and his deceptive pace he, in fact, dribbles past them.

Between Sturridge and an on form Torres.

What Ramires does really isn't dribbling IMO. His pace and acceleration makes it easy for him to get past players who are already diving in but he struggles to beat a man when he's on one one.

A fit and confident Torres is unstoppable with his feints/turns. He's lost his pace/confidence & gained weight so we'll probably never consistenly see that Torres again sadly.

Sturridge is the one player in our squad who I'm confident will beat his man 90% of the time. The good news about Sturridge is he hasn't even tried half the things he's capable of so far this season.

EDIT: As for Mata, I actually think he's very good at beating players, if someone could find the stats for this sort of stuff I'm pretty sure his dribbling accuracy would be higher than most players in the League.

He just doesn't do it very often.
