Spike 12,049
Frank Lampard is a wealthy man, a living legend, a god for us. He does not have to play for Man City. In fact, he doesn't have to do anything. He could so easily just say fuck off to NYC and MC and fuck off somewhere else. Anyone remember this and what it meant? I thought I read that Man Utd were relegated no matter what? I can't say I'm an expert given that happened several decades before I was born. Popular Post! hjperdeath 2,226 Posted August 3, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 3, 2014 Man played a week after his mother fucking died just so that we continued our run in the CL. Thank god he doesn't read the forums. No class and no respect it seems, look in the fucking mirror and say that. The Skipper 20,609
He can go wherever he wants if we drastically decrease his role at the club. It was time to move and he did. New York was a complicated option but only for 6 months. The fact that people are actually swearing at him shows how fast people forget.Again I ask, do you honestly think he'd have a more significant squad role at Man City than here? hjperdeath 2,226
Again I ask, do you honestly think he'd have a more significant squad role at Man City than here?he wouldn't. But he didn't join City. His sole intention was to do what the rest did, finish things off for himself in America. That was the dream. I don't believe that he would wake up one morning saying that he wanted to join City. He wanted to keep himself fit. Just like David Villa. Villa went to Australia and Frank wanted to as well. But sadly he is Frank Lampard, born in England. New York and Manchester are basically brothers from different mothers. Manchester City needed an English player , so he was technically obliged to go there without asking questions. If it was David Villa Thomas, then he would be English too and he would right now be in Manchester. Two perspectives because until now people are only assuming things about why Frank went there and I don't think he ever had a single intention of joining them outright. Popular Post! Ollie 4,400 Posted August 3, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 3, 2014 If he went to Australia, or even Italy or a lower level prem club like even QPR he would've played games and his goals, assists, points gained etc wouldn't have had a direct impact on us. He's only going to City to get them an English player for UCL. He's being used like a bitch. Everything positive he does for Man City will be a direct negative for us. It's disgusting, this whole transfer. 6 month loan or not, it's a fucking sham. Amblève., Blue Traveler, The Mak and 9 others

different level 1,056
I won't tell people how to feel about Frank's move. The way they react has to do with the way they've been grown, their life experience, etc.So IMO people with good understanding of professional sport and why not life as a whole, will respect Lamps' decision given the circumstances and move on, no matter how hard it will be seeing him putting on the shirt of another EPL team. ANd then on the other hand you have a bunch of morons who are calling him Judas and are ready to strip him of his legendary status. If that were to happen, then the stick he would get would be justified. Fans are a sentimental bunch, what else is there to being a supporter? Strictly business? Can't see people being passionate fans of business...What's the use of being a passionate fan if you're acting like a childish prick who thinks the professional footballers are his emotional playthings (a fellow member used that phrase above). Actually that description fits perfectly the always outraged scouser lowlifes. zolayes and hjperdeath

Lampard's status at this club comes with it responsibility, Cole & Drogba handled themselves with class when they left; why can't Frank show the same respect to the fans and his legacy. Cause they own the club. It was either City or nothing because NY knows that if they corner him, and not let him go to Australia then he'll have no other option than City who desperately need an English player. The fact that we aren't taking the side of a man who's given over 10 years and everything for the club while thinking that a rival club are innocent tells a lot about us. Lampard has no say in a loan offer apart from agreeing a contract. And City have money. Fuck loads of it.
Popular Post! EBH 283 Posted August 3, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 3, 2014 He's much overrated as a person. Man's always been about what's best for Frank Lampard, at the detriment of everything else. The same goes for Drogba, Terry, and every other Chelsea favourite. But you're a fool if you think anybody actually cares. You don't get to the top of sport without being a massive, massive, cunt. You just don't. You need to be selfish. You need to be greedy. You need to have a strong contempt for your fellow competitors and you need to constantly put down your teammates (either by demonstrating your superior skills or by straight out telling them to fuck off) to retain your place at the top of the tree. Otherwise you'll never make it in the world of lucrative professional sport, where ego reigns supreme. Footballers spare no thought for each other/fans/whatever. It's dressed up as 'killer instinct' or 'making the most of a short career span', but the world of sport is a morally bankrupt cesspit where everybody only thinks about themselves. It's cut-throat and cynical and if you have the tiniest little weakness in personality, if you can't be a granite wall of selfishness, it will be found out and it will harm your earning potential as well as how well you can play. How else are you going to get by in the most alpha-male dominated, testosterone abusing profession known to humanity? hjperdeath, Peace., The Chels and 2 others
EBH 283
Funny you should mention Soulja Boy Kalou, TX, because he is one of the few exceptions to the rule of 'football stars must be cunts or they wouldn't be stars'. Guess what. He isn't a star. Because of his lack of 'killer instinct'.
The only place to be 11,313
Do you truly believe that at City he'll have an elevated squad status? He'd still pretty much be backup behind the likes of Yaya, Silva, Fernandinho, Fernando etc... I can't really see his ambitions not being matched here at CFC... The main reason for his loan has to be fitness right? Why can't he do that here for 6 months?I think he'll play a bit more at City than he would here, but the issue is clearly the relationship between NYCFC and MCFC. Who knows if we'd want him or if they'd loan him to us?I also don't think it's just about fitness because he clearly thinks he can still compete for England so why not play for a team in the Champions League?Frank Lampard is a wealthy man, a living legend, a god for us. He does not have to play for Man City. In fact, he doesn't have to do anything. He could so easily just say fuck off to NYC and MC and fuck off somewhere else. He's an intelligent man. He didn't have to play football for a living. He didn't have to work his bollocks off on his fitness. But he did, because he's a competitor. Don't you dare cheer a single goal that was the result of years of commitment and dedication to his profession then expect him to quit because it might make you unhappy.
