Mikel and Ramires staying, also there is still RLC. No way we will sign another CM.

CB and LB only imo.

but none of them are Cesc replacements. we needed a player that could offer creativity similar to Fabregas (not as world class as Cesc of course, but good enough to allow Cesc a rest).

I'm hoping Willian is used deeper when Cesc is dropped for rest. He isn't nearly as creative, but he offers more runs going forward than Ramires, and can actually string one or two passes together (maybe, since he does try some rather head shaking passes now and then, killing counters).

Oscar will be used more in the 8, book it.

After Sturridge went down.

He still played there and did OK for them. And I think Pellegrini has been using him as a ST in pre-season.

Aguero-Sterling-Bony. Do they still play a 2 striker formation?

It's Pellegrini. What do you think? He's likely only to play 1 upfront in the big games.

Well, yea, but doesn't mean he's a striker. 3 strikers for 2 spots seems risky, considering Aguero has a history of injury problems.

It is risky, unless of course City are looking to buy someone or even promote somebody from their youth academy.

.....

Pellegrini has been using a Nigerian named Kelechi Iheanacho in this pre-season and the last. Might actually get into their team now that he's got his work permit in February.

I doubt it. We've been using youngsters, Traore, Kenedy, RLC, etc. Doubt they get more than 500 minutes combined.

I'm just saying it's a possibility. City, just like us, are desperate to blood youngsters into the first team and unlike Mourinho, Pellegrini is probably less skeptical in using academy players.
