The sooner the club realises that FFP is one big joke that will not be enforced, the sooner they can go out and spend big again without having to sell our best players.

Courtois

Azpi Luiz Terry Shaw

Pogba (or Vidal) Matic

Willian Oscar Hazard

Balotelli (or Costa)

That team would be able to take on any in the world - make it happen Roman!

Roman was one of the biggest supporters of FFP by most accounts and it benefits us to see it implemented so it's unlikely we'll try and undermine it.....

And Balotelli???

Well in that case selling Luiz and Ramires should bring in about 55m and there's lots of other players on loan that can be sold like Moses and Romeu.

Yes Balotelli! How long would he be willing to play for a team not in the CL, and he did say he wanted to work with Mourinho again. Aside from his attitude (admittedly a big problem) he's the perfect forward for us - has it all with his peak still awaiting. Besides in the CL I assume Mourinho will be wanting to play counter attacking football against the likes of Bayern and Madrid - isn't Costa, the only viable alternative, too slow for that and plus how can anyone be sure that he won't be a £32m flop that's just had one good season?

Aside from his attitude.....It's amazing how people are willing to excuse the most important aspect of a sportsman's makeup.

Costa might be a flop but I think he could fit the system. The other option is perhaps Cavani who excelled in a counter-attacking system in Napoli and is not being played in his preferred position in Paris.

Also with regard to the whole FFP thing I can just see us selling some of our best assets like Luiz to fund signings whilst teams like PSG and Man City continue to gain huge revenue through being sponsored by their owners' other companies and buy without having to sell, and without being challenged by Platini. Does anyone really believe he will stand up to his beloved PSG and Monaco? He likely then won't challenge Man City either.

A player's attitude can change as they mature although I admit it would be a big risk to the dressing room harmony to bring in Balotelli. He's just too good not to take a risk on though, surely? He can hold up the ball, work well in a counter attacking system, be intricate in tight spaces - and he's only 23! I do think Costa would be a flop but that Cavani would be a brilliant asset. No way are PSG selling though, unless they suddenly and miraculously start adhering to FFP.

DM - rambo, matic, lamps, romeu, mvg

That set of midfielders is not good enough IMO if we want to be serious challengers in both the Premier League and Champions League. Lampard is too old, and MVG/Romeu are not ready enough. Because Matic does lack mobility somewhat, I think Ramires would be a good partner to him but he is too technically inept and wreckless defensively. Replace him with Pogba and that's a midfield!

I'll probably edit this a few times but let's see.

IN - Shaw, Striker (Cavani, Rooney, Costa)

OUT - Luiz, Cech, Mikel, Bertrand, Van Aanholt, Moses, Marin, Cole, Ba, Torres (probably dreaming on that one)

GOALKEEPERS - Courtois, Schwarzer, Blackman, Hilario's corpse.

DEFENDERS - Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Kalas, Terry, Cahill, Zouma, Shaw, Ake

DEFENSIVE MIDS - Lampard, Matic, Ramires, Romeu, Chalobah, Van Ginkel

ATTACKING MIDS - Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Schurrle, Salah, Piazon

STRIKERS - Shiny new one, Lukaku, Etoo

Plenty of other youngsters to be decided on (Bamford, McEachran, Kane, Omeruo being the main ones) and could see us getting another DM but that to me a is a squad that can compete.

Just because we sold to buy players this January window doesn't mean we have to do the same in the summer. Pretty sure we've got money set aside for the summer.

We'll get rid of some unneeded squad players like Ba, Moses, Marin, Kakuta etc. which will generate funds for Luke Shaw (plus the leftover money from January) and then we'll have a set amount of money we can spend this summer on a world class striker.

There's always money to spend, but Mourinho hasn't been reluctant to strip dead wood and bring in players who are capable of contributing to the way he wants to play.

Exactly. Getting rid of the deadwood players you mentioned can potentially fetch the club somewhere around £15-20m on top of the £10m left over from January and let's not forget the situations with Cech / Courtois and Mikel / Romeu. One of the goalkeepers is bound to go, either it will be Courtois for around £25m or Cech for something like £8m. I reckon one of the DMs will be kept and the other moved on but both should be valued around the 10 million mark so it makes no significant difference financially, just comes down to Jose's personal preference.

Add all these together and we should be looking at a figure between £45-65m, depending on the outcome of the goalie situation and on how much we get for the fringe players. Either way the club will be getting a lot of money to spend and considering how freely we have bought players in the past even without sales we can easily afford to splash the cash in the summer. There's absolutely no reason to sell players like Luiz to be able to improve the squad.

I think we only need a left back(play Cesar in his best position ahead of Ivanovic) and a World Class Striker in the summer.

I just hope there is no more wasted effort to sign an over the hill player like Looney. Players like Cavani and Suarez should be the main targets with the likes of Costa; Balotelli; Sturridge; Rossi; Mandžukić; Doumbia as back up options.

For a left back we've been heavily linked with Luke Shaw, we do have a couple of left backs on loan like Bertrand(who Jose didn't seem to rate) and Patrick van Aanholt(who has been one of the best player for Vitesse) who could serve as back ups or compete with Shaw if we sign him.

As Jype said above, there are other players we can sell to raise funds.

I know Luiz isn't having a fantastic season but to say he's dead wood isn't true. Luiz's problems has nothing to do with not fitting in Mourinho's system.
