BlueLyon 9,359
Hes a promising player, I wouldn't say a top talent yet but if there was one player at Benfica I'd like us to sign it would either be Matic or Gaitan.Gaitan is too similar to Mata/Hazard/Oscar and Matic has release clause of 40mio (no kiddin)But you cant compare them, John is only 20 years old while other two are 24/25.Afterall, there are many people in holland sure that Ola will be starter for netherland soon. I think there is no super talent or small talent, its just about who gets more hype. Gotze, Hazard, Isco got lots of hype, but for example Pogba, John, Rodri, Insigne etc are big talents, they just dont get the hype and fame at young age. Sometimes a talents that are less known actualy become better than so called 'super talents'

Hes actually a winger, like Moses, direct, pacey, can pick out a cross, can cut inside and score goals too. Mata, Hazard and Oscar are purely #10s.Its hard to say John won't be a starter for Netherlands soon enough, they have one top class winger in Robben so it should be easier for him to get picked. Who else would they play on the wings? Kuyt? Van Persie? Sneidjer? It would be relatively easy for an up and coming winger like John who is a good player who is improving to get games on the wing for Holland as they lack quality out wide.Hes a talent obviously but not in the same sense that Hazard, Isco, Gotze, Pogba and El Sharaawy are. They are going to be massive players in the future, John will be a good player no doubt but not in the same class as them 5. Isco we all know about, quality. Gotze the same, well coveted allover Europe who wouldn't have him? Pogba was great for Uniteds reserves and its no surprise we were considering him last season, hes been unreal for Juve, he scored 2 goals the other day vs Udinese and was class IIRC, has been good most games hes played made right decision to leave United. Hazard we all know as well, obviously, massive talent. El Shaarawy is going to be class too. John won't achieve as much as they will. All Im saying is that there might be quite opposite. If Isco joins Barca/Rm in summer and he doesnt get the chances, while Ola stays in Benfica for while and then moves to big club that has place for him in starting eleven and becomes great player? Sure he wont be new Messi (while Gotze, Hazard -if they fill the potential can become), but you cant have 10 Messis in your team anyway. So, if John becomes next Bale, Silva, Ribery class player, I would think of him as class player. He plays for Benfica day in day out, regular CL games every year, good conditions to evolve, works with great board who produced several talents etc. If he will train and work hard, stay on ground, he has all chance to be starter for any top team. If Isco pics wrong club or gets careless like Balotelli, then he wont be that good despite being bigger talent than John. I think the situation will be much different in twi years time from now...And cant agree that Holland doesnt have players on wings; Leroy Fer, Narsingh and Wijnaldum are all good talents along with John...Besides Hazard IS more winger than #10, but he plays different role here. Gaitan might be winger, but he is similar to our cams already; small, good passer, dribbler. If we go after winger, he should be something we dont yet have like Bale (realy fast and much taller than Mata, Hazard) or stronger wingers with good technique)

Isco won't get careless, hes not like Balotelli, so to suggest that is madness. Hes a down to earth guy, very humble and has a very big future ahead of him. Sure if he moves and doesn't get as many games (would find it ridiculous why would any club buy such a talented player not to play him) John might get ahead of him but I doubt it. Balotelli hasn't even thrown his career away yet, Michael Johnson is the worst case scenario. I'm sure we won't see something like this again though. OneMoSalah 8,886
When did you meet Isco and get all chummy with him?Oh we met one day in Spain.... Na I follow him on twitter and I've translated a whole load of stuff using google chrome, he seems down to earth, not like some of these retarded footballers who tweet mad shit constantly like Joey Barton. Obviously thats not enough to be 100% sure but I'm sure he isn't like certain idiots. Hes probably got a similar personality to Matas I'd guess. Blue Gino 377
If you don't care for the youth setup or who's on loan by all means I understand the interest in other club's players. For me Chelsea should avoid anymore massive transfers from now on especially in this window where the prices skyrocket. With a new TV deal coming to the EPL, many clubs in other leagues will be looking to cash in on their stars to clear their wage books to get in line with FFP. Something this club is already doing. They already have players to take Lampard's spot on the roster next season. Are they a good fit is up for debate for some. For me it's McEachran hands down. They can strengthen the striker position by bringing Lukaku back and pushing Torres to third choice. Defensive midfielder? There's four to five available players there starting next season. Cole is re-signed. I really like Isco and Benat but on second thought there's really great loanees out there and they are already on the books and I'm sure that's the club's thinking as well. Sheva. 5,373
Mame Diouf. Yes he is ex-manu but he is on fire this season in Bundesliga. Would be worth a punt, no?I've been paying attention to him since last season, he's doing very well, not sure we would even consider him though. Can't afford to saturate the team with youth. With lamps leaving, it only leaves cole a JTs experience. Who are the 5 DMs that will be capable? We need a new leader in the midfield/attack region. That's where someone like modric or Fellaini would come in handy. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for incorporating the youth into the team, but too much youth too fast can be a downfall teignman
