I am very sure we wont get both cavani and falcao it might be one of them but no way both of them. For me personally jovetic, huntelaar and a good competent Cb would be a very good january.Although james rodriguez is an interesting option i have not seem him play but have heard a lot about him and with our recent young attacker recruitment policy interest in rodriguez might be genuine.

Why is it impossible? RA is probably looking at City and thinking if I buy both, that limits 'their' options... You've seen whats happened over the past few days, yet you still refuse to believe that 'Anything' can and usually 'does' happen @ CFC :D

LOL!

So you think we will spend 100m on cavani and falcao in january and most probably one of them will have to sit on the bench if we keep playing the same formation with the ffp coming in as well.

Sigh.... FFP is not a concern... Amortising player transfers over X years solves that problem.

YES - I don't think it's unreasonable to have players on the bench, especially if ROTATED correctly.

And - WE NEED A PLAN B - something RDM was incapable of implementing... You cant always use 4-2-3-1... So having QUALITY options to change that is what makes a GOOD team GREAT!

What's with the negativity here?

A player like cavani/falcao will not be happy playing second fiddle to anyone. You got your opinions i got mine so i think we will agree to disagree on this one.If we do sign both of them i will be a fucking madman with happiness but i just dont see it happening.

LOL - so you haven't considered 4-4-2 then? ;) You can play 2 strikers at once :)

Or maybe 3-5-2 :D

@Muzchap, we all know Roaman is a bit crazy (ok, very crazy). I am pretty sure someone leaked his list and those 3 players are in some order of preference. It is like this with every position we need. We want a RB/RW/CAM/Whatever, when the press gets any information, it is always that we are going to buy the 5 best players out there at the same time. It ends up being one of the options...

@rmpr - yup but we are lacking firepower - I dont think thats gone unnoticed at Board level - and RAFA's assesment of the squad will definitely show how light we are up front.

So I could see us trying to sign both - seriously, we are European Champions and unlikely to qualify, so something RADICAL needs to be done, this is not the time to sit back and say, we won the CL - end of story, we want to get back and Win it again and again, along with the EPL and other cups...

So if he has the money and can meet the release clauses - then Expect to see them here, well at least 2 out of the 3 :)

@Muzchap, only with you believe Sturridge AND Torres will be leaving in January. I honestly dont think so, I think Sturridge will go and Torres will stay (Benitez of all people getting rid of him?). With that in mind, we will buy a ST and someone else in someother position Rafa thinks it is necessary.

I agree we are going to see a very busy transfer window though.

@rmpr - There's DEFINITELY rumours of Torres wanting out to Atletico (but that was prior to El Spanio joining, so who knows :P) - but I'd prefer to have 3 strikers - so Falcao + Cavani would be cool...

Maybe Studge will go - likely QPR if Arry has his way... Shame... but having Falcao+Cavani+Torres (backup - knee surgery lol!:P) would be cool...

Be interesting to see what RAFA thinks our best formation is - I still think 3-5-2 BUT very risky in EPL... without a disciplined defensive team mentality...

Actually, it would be 3-5-1-1 with 1 in the hole ;) - queue pics of Mick McCarthy ... :P

I think Sturridge will leave and a cheaper option will come in. I believe the plan will be to try and get some mileage out of Torres in the hope that he will be worth something as a bargaining chip when striking a deal for Falcao in the summer.

Alex Pato is now publicly complaining about playing time and his agent will be having a chat with the club soon to discuss his future. Injury plagued but talented and of course will be linked with Chelsea, as he has been ever since Carlo was named manager, and still young. Seems like he would benefit more in a two striker formation which I don't see being used at Chelsea in the foreseeable future. For me Cavani and Falcao don't fit the system either nor has Torres to this point. Lukaku is the wild card in all this. Despite still developing, I think he can do the job as the lone striker in 4-2-3-1 if recalled in January. Maybe Emanalo sees this as well and Chelsea will avoid the massive striker buy in January.
