A very talented, skilful forward who was an aboloute steal in the current climate. What makes it worse is that he isn't cup tied and its looking very possible that we'll be facing him at Napoli. He's just a player who was literally a perfect example of what we're yearning. He just about lost the South American footballer of the year award to Neymar, and it's funny to think that we couldn't put forward 11 million for Vargas and yet look too splash it on other unproven youngsters Ofcourse failing to sign Hazard and Lucas is a regret, but it's quite clear they weren't going anywhere this winter. We still have a big shout for them in Summer though We tried Vargas - he chose Napoli.We tried Hazard - he didn't want to leave now..We tried Lucas - the club didn't want to sell him.We tried Willian - Shakhtar asked for too much.At least we are trying tried. I'm happy we're not going for a player like Downing. Our targets are looking top class. Credit to AVB, and that's another reason why AVB must stay. He is 17 years old and every time I have watched him he has been very impressive. He has a very mature playing style for his age and is quick and skilful. Would not break the bank either. BleedsBlue 1,549 Posted February 16, 2012 Share Posted February 16, 2012 We all know that Hazard is a brilliant talent and would be a tremendous player for any team(even Chelsea) but instead of trying to get him in the summer,we should try our best to sign Hulk.Hulk would be perfect for AVB's team and would form a formidable partnership with Mata and Ramires.Hulk is fast,powerful and has a lethal left foot.He's the kind of player we actually need and his versatility would surely help us.AVB knows him well also,so the signing could be possible but the price range should be around maximum 30m.Porto's price tag of 100m is just uncanny but if the two clubs can come to an agreement then I'm sure we will achieve greatness with him as a Chelsea player and AVB as our manager. I think Hulk would cost more than Hazard, they wanted a big price for only Pereira - Hulk would cost twice as much.
