Romelu Lukaku

He requested a transfer two days after we signed Samuel Eto'o.

All this guff about him 'deciding his future' is a smokescreen from Jose. JOSE decides who stays and who goes. Lukaku may have asked but Jose acceded to these 'demands'.

If he was in Mourinho's plans, Lukaku's request was gonna be declined. As it was accepted and he got his loan move, only proves that he was not in Mourinho's plans and he made the right choice. And for Lukaku, he's not consistent enough. Every time you play a bad game in Chelsea, you are sitting on the bench for a consecutive 5 games, that's not what a young player like him needs, not now, and not next season.

Torres, spent SO much time on the bench these past three years.

Lukaku just came second behind Pogba in the Golden Boy Award, celebrating the best European talent under 21.

Previous winners:

Rooney, Messi, Van der Vaart, Fabregas, Aguero, Pato, Balotelli, Gotze, Isco...

Impressive.

Apparently Barca are interested in him as well....that makes three of our young players that they've been linked to (Courtois and Loftus-Cheek).

Ha ha...idiots. Don't they know how bad his link-up play is? Stupid Barca and their stupid youth development officers. :D

Yeah, wouldn't really see him making it at Barca. :P

Would be funny though.

They currently play Pique up top whenever they are chasing a result in the second half - Lukaku would be an obvious upgrade to Pique when trying something different after plan A fails.

Lukaku and Everton edge closer to us, our big man got a big assist even though he was trying to shoot - lucky lad :D

Also he made Vidic his bitch on several occasions - just completely out muscled him

First win by Everton away at United since 1988

I wont agree with this until I see he perform at a big club.

He will perform better than what we have starting up top for us currently - Everton are a big club

He was good against Manu.imo

He got 8 out of 10 from Sky, Goal.com named him as the man of the match:

"A towering display from the dreadlocked one. Tore Vidic a good'un with his pace and power, held the ball up well and set up the game's only goal with the cross to Oviedo."
