The goals against Schalke and West Brom, isn't that what Jose wants, our players pressing high like Eto'o did? while the Hildebrand and Ridgewell shouldn't have made those mistakes they did because they were pressed into it, if Eto'o weren't around both would have cleared quite comfortably.

Thank fuck because we were absolutely diabolical in both those matches.

£60+travell+food to watch balls fly in off strikers half and have that be the highlight of your trip? Is that what Roman wants? Is that what Chelsea supporters want?

Results aren't everything in football. There's more to it than that, otherwise we'd all just run off and support City or Barcelona.

Ofcourse not, i was just highlighting that Eto'o was pressing high up the pitch and ultimately Jose wants us to play a high pressing game, so you could argue it has already started to pay off. The goal owed just as much to that as it did to the oppo fucking up.

But no, we shouldn't be relying on opposition fuck ups, hopefully that will become less frequent as time goes on.

Except it doesn't seem that's the case. Without Lukaku's 'request' he may well have still been at Chelsea this season 'competing' for a spot with Torres, Eto'o and possibly even Ba.

In fact if you look at every young player from Ake's age onwards, they've all either stagnated or regressed since Jose was appointed. I used to be a firm believer in this club's youth policies but I've seen nothing over the last six months to encourage me that players like Chalobah (gone from a first-team regular at Watford to a bench player at Forest), Piazon (minutes in the competitive Spanish league to first-team regular in a weak Dutch league) or Lukaku are actually going to make the transition from promising youngster to first-teamer here.

In fact I take back everything I said about Sturridge. I WAS WRONG DANNY. You did absolutely the right thing leaving this place and going to Liverpool. He will develop better there, he will be more appreciated there and he might even win more there (although that's doubtful because we'll simply outspend them over the next ten years because our owner is richer than their's).

Well Mourinho said he came here to give stability to the younger players and play good futbol. Which is something we really need to bring some younger players into the team

Up to now I am a bit disappointed since we have not seen much, but I honestly did not expect much the first season.

Mourinho will really need to prove he's up to the task second season. He would have one full season and enough time to evaluate what is going on.

So let's not get all despair because it does not look good right now. This season was always going to be the hardest. Too much transitional parts going about.

But if Mourinho is really the man to lead us for long term, then we should see some progress in this department come next season.

Glad he scored. On the topic of Mourinho vs Lukaku: Im not the biggest Lukaku fan because he has detrimental holes in his play, but wat Mourinho did was out of clear frustration coming of a horrible game Chelsea game. Id expect managers to keep their emotions in check. Never ever should a manager attack a player from his own club in the media!

I'd fucking hate it if he left. He's already terrorising defences at 20, imagine when he hits his prime/peak... Could be the best striker in the PL, if not the world...

In his case it's a bit different though if you take his phisique into account. Most strikers hit their peaks end 20ies partly because that's when their bodies are 100% developed. Lukaku has had the body of a 30 year old since his 16th.

If he manages to improve his touch and overall technique over the years he'll be very good.

I was thinking more about his technique and mental aspects. Not saying he has a bad mentality but it should oly improve. Can't see him being much better physically!

A lot of people seem to be either taking Lukaku's side or Jose's side on this transfer request thing, but I think it's somewhere in between really.

Basically, if Lukaku really asked for a transfer he pretty much said to Mourinho "I don't want to play for the club" because that's what a transfer request says, no matter what way we're looking at it. So I really don't know what José is supposed to do in such a situation. I mean, he has a lot to deal with already in his first season back so does he also risk keeping Lukaku and having him an unmotivated, unhappy all season? I know I don't want that...so José sent him out on loan. It honestly seemed to be the best option because he 1) develops and gets plenty of playing time, 2) gets a chance to sort his head out and most importantly 3) he's still our player.

Now if that's just "I don't want to play for the club right now" we'll see next season. Personally, I hold so much hope for this kid because I don't see Ba and Eto'o staying for very much longer and Torres is almost 30.

You could also say that José didn't cover himself in glory with his recent comments but, honestly, neither has Lukaku when he speaks of Chelsea. You can sense an underlying hostility, especially with the "I want to outscore Chelsea's strikers comment". Ok, if that's your motivation then fan-didly-tastic. But don't say it to the fucking press Romelu. We all know what they do - take the non-stories and blow they way out of proportion - but when they receive ammunition like this they must cream themselves. Then they throw it back in José face at first opportunity to get a classic 'José reaction' and that's exactly what they got this time.

Lukaku is a physical beast but he is yet to mature emotionally. The massive transfer request overaction to missing a silly penalty is case and point of that. I think he needs to take a leaf out of KDB's book. Sure Kevin isn't getting a look in a the moment, but he has been nothing but professional about it. You could even have a go at him for not complaining!

Anyway, I hope Romelu has a good long think and realise he still has a big opportunity here...but for him to take it he has develop a bit more off the pitch as well.

I'm not a fan of Mourinho as I don't like watching his teams play but on this case, he is right, Lukaku is talking way too much.

What I find funny is that empty words is working way too much in general.

In school I hated when classmates were quoting things like Perroquet without understanding, just because it was hype or the politically correct thing to say. It was like listening to brainwashed people.

Optajoe: 117 - Romelu Lukaku has the best minutes per goal rate in Premier League history (minimum 20 goals).

Productive rawness.
