Madmax 9,219
can't question his appreciation yet as we still await his interview as an Everton player. Yes he did support Chelsea but the guy wants to concentrate on his career and only he knows what is best for him. We all would have loved him here as second choice striker but it seems that the Lukaku wants to be first choice and so be it. It is his life and it's totally up to him to decide where he wants to play. If I was working at my dream company say Google but did not have a big role and had the chance to work at a different company say Yahoo( where I hadworked for a year and felt valued) and on top of that got a bigger role then I would definitely switch jobs.May not be the perfect but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I get all that mate, just a lot of mixed emotions with Lukaku : hope, disappointment, frustration ... you get the picture.
sdrcfc 461
What a cuntish way to leave. Hope we see another striker brought in, who'll actually try instead of being a little bitch. sherry33 and The only place to be

Rambo 1,729
There's almost as many pages in this thread than the total minutes he's played for this club. He doesn't deserve the wear the Chelsea shirt if he's not willing to earn his spot. Let him stay comfortable and complacent at a club like Everton. PANDOOBIE 1
Hardly bitter, you can sense people's disappointment in their posts. It's not hard to take a shine to and identify with a teenager who had Drogba and Anelka posters on his walls, who then ends up with his dream move and cries when he gets to sit on the bench for the first time. Then when the guy leaves a few years later without a word of thanks to the club he 'loves' or to its fellow fans, it shows he never outgrew his teenage years.lol.They treated him like shit, don't expect thanks for getting his hopes up and then crushing them. burrogol

didierforever 7,349
this is what our strikers cost us last year (according to wagnh)torres = 19miletoo = 7milba = 6millukaku = 2mil a total of 34mil what our strikers will cost this seasontorres = 19milDD = 4mil (higher estimate)costa = 16 millukaku = -16.4mil. (considering his transfer fee to be 19mil from anderlecht and just 24 mil from everton) (very high estimates) (can be as high as 26mil if his clauses were not triggered out hence making his transfer fee as low as 10mil, and his transfer fee to everton being 30mil pounds). a total of 22.6mil. if we sell torres for even 5mil. thentorres = 13milcosta=16milDD = 4millukaku =-16.4milba = -0.75mil which makes a total of 16mil(round figure).considering we can atleast match the amount we spent of strikers last season, we have 18mil pounds in FFP terms.we can buy another striker worth about 32mil and at wages of 185kpw. selling torres with the lukaku deal done, makes perfect sense. if torres does not not leave, it will be cos jose and the board want him to stay, no other reason. Popular Post! Beepu 1,714 Posted July 30, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 30, 2014 Just woke up to this news. To be honest, as much as I wanted him to succeed here, he really got whiny and annoying recently. He would get alot of game time I think if he stay as 2nd choice behind Costa and really have that chance to make an impact in a chelsea shirt, but I guess we won't see that. Unless it's Jose that did not want him then I don't understand Lukaku's decision making here, does he think he deserves to be no.1 at a club like Chelsea? if not, is he threatened by the sight of Torres and Drogba for that 2nd spot? Well he is delusional if he thinks he is the complete striker he thinks he is and shows terrible mentality if he's scared of competition. Still, can't help but feel that if he stayed quiet and work hard then things wouldn't turn to sour. Eh anyway it ends up as another profit for the club and I feel he really burned bridges with the way he acted, like a petulant 12 year old potato who just can't stop yapping.Another striker goes before Torres, ridiculous... When will this torture end? The only place to be, bababoom, Madmax and 2 others
Ledg 643
Don't mind to let Lukaku go after all the whining and bitching for the past year but it will be a huge risk to go only with Costa, Drogba and Torres next season. I just hope somehow we'll get rid off Torres and buy a striker. Madmax

Popular Post! Toli 977 Posted July 30, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 30, 2014 dont know how anybody can compare Lukaku to Studge. Studge is miles and shoulders above him and twice the player Lukaku is..especially technically. Studge was definetely a big mistake, lukaku isnt if we get a proper striker in Madmax, bababoom, Rambo and 2 others

Amblève. 4,995
It does matter a lot... The price for an unsettled/unwanted player reduces by quite some bit. If Lukaku had been an important player here at CFC just like Marquinhos was for Roma, he definitely would've gone for a lot more.If he didn't have only two years left on his contract I'm pretty sure we would have got a bit more. And PSG are stupid like that. Not disagreeing entirely but two years is still two years. We were in the position to dictate, not Everton, as we could have kept Lukaku for one more year and sold him then. It's not like he would have lost much value, especially considering how the transfermarket has developed over the past 2 years.
