Magic Lamps 11,692
Amazing player, so glad we FINALLY see him play for Chelsea and not lose him too early like KDB, Rom and many more. Though I could imagine he should put on some brawn and train explosive strength. In Germany keeper always get trained on these 2. When a goalie is physically imposing and not only tall but big and strong they don't just have advantages in the air. You have seen it with Neuer at the WC, players were too afraid to take him on, just because of the respect his appearance imposes. They would not go up to the header and risk a collision with him because they were just too small. Also his explosiveness made him great coming off his line and in the 1vs1. Courtois said himself, in the prem, the refs do not protect the goalies as much as they should.

Popular Post! zolayes 14,489 Posted August 1, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 1, 2014 i have always found the Belgian members a great benefit to the forum . Of course they like to see their countrymen do well butin no way do I consider them biassed. Even in the Lukaku thread I thought them more reasonable than many others .Cech or Courtois will be settled this year . I hope it goes to Courtois only as he would offer a greater playing life The Rising Sun, iseah100, seanptmiller and 8 others

What's your point? It's not like the Belgian league is top tier, pretty much all football fans from countries with inferior leagues support a foreign team, it's not such a hard concept to grasp OReillyD36, Belgiannutt, The Mak and 10 others

I have moved around a lot and always supported my localteams .. Last year wasnt good both Carlisle and Workington got relegated .. Ipswich missed the play offs and Brum are justBrum .. There are are many reasons people support clubs .. I feel at times there is an anti Brazil and an anti Belgium faction here .when i see this I respond The Mak, iseah100, Spike and 3 others

Popular Post! Barbara 15,149 Posted August 1, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted August 1, 2014 does this discussion ever get old around here?Normally people celebrate the fact that their club spread the barriers of their country and conquered fans everywhere in the globe.Only here I see it being a sin and making fans less fans because they're foreigners. I don't know, I just don't get the rational behind it. Azpinator, Stingray, Mufassir08 and 11 others

Calling random people fanboys? Are you drunk?People were just appreciating Courtois and his interview when you come in calling them cringeworthy fanboys, I thought it was pretty ironic coming from a guy who's clearly a Cech fan(boy). What's this opinion we don't agree on?
