Chelsea Football Club and Sevilla Fútbol Club have reached an agreement for the season-long loan of Marko Marin, subject to the completion of legal documentation and a medical.

The German international arrived at Chelsea last summer from Werder Bremen, but after some impressive displays on tour in America, in which he grabbed his first Chelsea goal on his debut against Seattle Sounders, a hamstring injury meant he had to wait until late September for a competitive bow.

His first league start came in January in the 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers, with a first competitive goal following in February's 4-1 win over Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge. In total during 2012/13, Marin, who is 24, appeared 16 times in our colours.

Sevilla finished ninth in last season's La Liga table. You will be able to monitor Marko's progress during the campaign here on the official Chelsea website.

Hardly a surprise. With his poor first season and the return of De Bruyne and the arrival of Schurrle he is the 7th choice attacking midfielder (after Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, KDB and Moses). Still good luck to Marko, hopefully he'll impress at Seville and show some of the stuff that made the people call him "German Messi" (I hate that moniker btw as I can't stand the Argentinian dwarf) .

Who knows? What if he goes to Spain excels, comes back next year and gets a lot more games? Only a possiblity but hey you never know. Hes only 24 or 25 or something who knows.

By excels he has to score/assists at least 20 goals to be even considered along our midfield. Hazard/Mata/Oscar are guaranteed to be ahead, then there is Schurrle, Kevin and Moses. Basically his career here is finished unless he suddenly become one of the best player in Liga next season.
