  1. well obviously he won't get the same service he did at Liverpool...with Gerrard spoon feeding him more than half the goals he scored. BUT, the players have provided decent service, Torres has just been rubbish infront of goal. Sturridge was pretty selfish but he always looks like he's about to score...Torres just looks useless.
  2. He has been used as a left winger, right winger and a second striker by Partizan. They can't seem to find the best position for Markovic He needs alot of work on his technique, decision-making under pressure and finishing. Apparently some scouts have said he's like a Serbian Walcott. He's got good pace, good control but on numerous occasions, he's let down by his poor decisions. Unless he shows something brilliant in pre-season, I think he'll be loaned out.
  3. Our last 7 games are probably the toughest compared to Spurs and Arsenal's fixtures. Spurs only have to worry about City and Chelsea. Arsenal only have to worry about Everton & United...maybe Newcastle if they play well.
  4. Ramires was useless at RM/RW against City in the league game. We lack a proper winger: Moses is still a work in project, Ramires isn't a winger and Oscar doesn't look comfortable out wide. We'll put a good fight against City but with their fresher legs, they'll win 3-1.
  5. Would of been awesome to have seen the likes of Di Natale, Del Piero in the premier league!
  6. The funny thing, you joined this forum a week after Rafa joined Chelsea. You only support the Chelsea manager because he is Rafa and you only support Torres cause he's a former Liverpool striker. Could you explain "very good reasons" behind Mourinho's sacking? He is our most successful manager since Roman took over the club. So when Rafa leaves in May, are you going to keep posting on this forum?
  7. We will never know if he's "ready" until he plays a few games for Chelsea... I mean until he gets a run of games in the Chelsea first team, no one will be able to say if he makes an immediate impact or struggles with Chelsea's tactical system. He's done well at West Bromwich in his first full season of EPL football.
  8. You can't 'fix' Torres anymore...I really thought Benitez would have been capable of getting the best out of him but it just hasn't happened. He just hasn't been able to produce good performances for more than 2-3 games at a time. If worst comes to worst and no other decent club wants to take a chance on Fernando...our next manager will just have another problem to deal with.
  9. Good to see Salomon Kalou score a brace against Lorient. 5-0 win for Lille.
  10. Hopefully Torres can put in a few more good performances before the end of this season. Maybe that'll attract a bid or two from Atletico/Russian clubs..
  11. we haven't look better than them so far...
  12. Pathetic first half performance. No real energy or drive from our midfield.. Sunderland have looked good on the counter.
  13. Would be sad to see De Bruyne go to Leverkusen next season....we need a quality crosser in our team.
  14. I see Spurs beating Everton cause they are missing Fellaini, Pienaar and potentially Mirallas.
  15. At the end of the day, Rafa won't be here next season. There was no point welcoming him to the club, he is the interim manager.
  16. I was hoping West Brom would be able to secure a draw against Arsenal.. Must-win game against Sunderland.
  17. If that's the case, we are totally screwed. I was really looking forward to the end of this season...with Rafa leaving, Torres potentially leaving and the addition of some new players to our squad. Now we're stuck with a useless striker for another 3 years.
  18. I see similar players on completely different levels. Reus could become a top-class player. Schurrle will probably become an above average player but nothing special. I know a number of Bundesliga followers who have been very impressed by Lars Bender and Carvajal's development at Leverkusen but when I asked them about Schurrle, they said he's good but nothing great.
  19. I've seen a number of Leverkusen games this season and he's looked average in a number of those games. He did really well against Gladbach in February...then went missing for a few games, did well against Stuttgart in March...then went missing for a few games and recently he did well against Dusseldorf.
  20. Good to see him stay at City...hopefully he picks up a few injuries in the coming seasons.
  21. How is Schurrle more physical than De Bruyne? Also, I don't see how Schurrle fits in at Chelsea. He's not that great as a winger (probably just better than Marin) and as a striker..8 goals in 27 appearances isn't the best record. We need a striker and a proper winger (like Di Maria). Schurrle can play both positions but he's still an average player.
  22. I reckon we'd have to switch to a 3 man midfield to see Mikel show his more creative side at Chelsea. We could potentially have a midfield containing: KdB - Mikel - Ramires/ someone else
  23. I wouldn't say people are way too obsessed about our youngsters...but it's always good to see a talented youngster break into the first team...something Chelsea hasn't seen for a long, long time. Also, when a youngster breaks into the first team, it provides proof that our youth system is doing its job. I get that Chelsea need to improve, win trophies & with the right manager in place, I think we can achieve the right balance between high-profile stars and potentially 2-3 youngsters in the first team squad.
  24. If we can get Falcao for 30 million, then I'd be satisfied. Anything above 35 million isn't worth it, we can invest that money into our midfield.
