That's disgusting. He's a classless character and doesn't deserve to wear the Chelsea jersey. I still remember him saying something racist about Kanoute's mother in the Sevilla vs Barcelona match..and when Kanoute approached Fabregas, gave him a light push...Fabregas fell to the floor like he was shot in the chest. Only blind fans will disregard a players character...it's not ALWAYS about football.

Spending 30 million (that's the fee Benfica want) on Matic is just as bad as paying Cavani's buyout clause. Let's see how Romeu goes...

Fixed

Have you actually seen him play? He scores goals..not just tap-ins. And if we actually invested into our midfield...we wouldn't really need a world-class forward.
-
To be fair..the Socceroos don't really have a keeper who can seriously challenge Schwarzer before WC 14.
-
Moses can provide cover for both LW & RW positions...and he's got potential..in his own right, he can be a good player. As for Everton's interest...if we signed Moses for like 8 million...why on earth would we sell him for 10 million?
-
Just take Rob Green or even Lee Camp. Both of them are better than Turnbull and they'd be considered as part of our homegrown quota.
-
He's still not worth 17 million...but I guess he'll be a good player to have..off the bench.

Best Formation for current Chelsea Squad?
Reddish-Blue replied to Blue_Legendary's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Exactly. Mata would lose a bit of effectiveness...but changing formations would make the "team" stronger on the whole. Playing 4-3-3 is the way to go. It would help Oscar become more influential as a CM & we'd probably be able to get the best out of Rambo. -
We must be desperate for Cavani cause no other club is gonna pay his release clause.
-
Yea, KDB for the first team and Schurrle for the bench. Good stuff by Chelsea...

http://thechels.net/2013/05/barcelona-youngster-josimar-talks-about-chelsea-move/ I think we agreed to sign him at the end of April from what i remember. Old news Apparently he's got a raw skillset similar to Antonio Valencia...
-
There's a difference between paying 22 million & 50 million. RvP wasn't really a risk...he carried Arsenal the previous season and he wanted to win trophies. Wenger was stupid enough to sell him to a rival club.
-
the price tag is alot. If he really wanted a move to Chelsea...we could negotiate and lower the fee with Napoli. Look at Fernandinho..he was desperate to move to a bigger league..and by using twitter/press conferences, forced his club to sell him for less than his release clause.
-
Could only find a short video of his best season at Chelsea. Best of luck to Malouda wherever he ends up...heard that Marseille were interested.
-
I don't think the issue is about scoring goals...when you pay 50 million for a striker, you expect a strong return...and the expectations on Cavani will be massive. I'd rather see us fix up the midfield problems and then worry about bringing in a striker....cause at the end of the day, if the supply from midfield is crap, even the best strikers will struggle to score..
-
I don't see him overtaking Cech just yet...and sitting on the bench won't help his preparation/confidence for 2014 WC. I'm sure we can find a decent keeper in the market to be our #2
-
Thats why Chelsea are trying to sign someone like Cavani/Dzeko/Jovetic..cause Lukaku still has alot to learn IMO, Lukaku will be a good squad player next season..probably used as an impact sub against tiring defenders..
-
So Chelsea offered Courtois? I really thought he was gonna be our goalkeeper for the next decade...
-
As Rmpr has said...you also have to consider if Ramires wants a move to Napoli.. Cause IMO, moving from Chelsea to Napoli is a step-down for a player like Ramires
-
Why should we pay the buyout clause. Transfers are about negotiating. If Cavani really wants to join Chelsea, then i'm sure Napoli and Chelsea can come to an agreement... However, if he still dreams of a move to Real Madrid..then we should move on.
-
exactly...something isn't right about the deal. Boateng's attitude is a problem. He's always been cocky since his Tottenham days. I don't know if he's volatile in the dressing room..but thats the last thing we need at the moment
-
This Cavani transfer should be simple. Give Napoli 40 million + Torres..if they reject, see if he's worth his buy-out clause (which he isnt)...if not, go sign someone else.
-
Would be interesting to see KPB at Chelsea...considering he's a former Spurs player. However...we don't really need him
