Expecting a tough match...will probably finish 1-1

A win is a win...but seriously, the lack of killer instinct might cost us the title.
-
This guy can only get better and better Good performance from Hazard

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-transfer-news-markovic-matic-2956730 According to that article...Matic could be available for only 20 million!

Happy with the point...was a bit worried when Giroud had that chance in the last 10 mins but luckily Terry came to the rescue.
-
4 signings - CB, CM, ST and LB to fill the void of Ashley Cole.
-
I just don't like the idea of losing to Arsenal...it will give them a psychological boost heading into potentially tricky away fixtures against West Ham and Newcastle..
-
Exactly..he's a hungry kid looking to make an impact, he wants to score goals... Out of our current strikers, none of them look like they want to prove a point.... Eto'o has already achieved everything with Barca and Inter...Torres' best form is long gone and Ba just isn't good enough to lead the line for a club like Chelsea I just hope we can start next season with Lukaku and (insert name of new striker) as our main options upfront.
-
I think thats the main issue...he's not going to massively improve our midfield. The major concern with signing Guarin is that the defensive side of our pivot won't change If we do end up signing Guarin, I expect him to be a squad player, NOT a starter at Chelsea...
-
Totally agree...if KDB wasn't part of Chelsea's plan this season, he could of easily returned to the Bundesliga on loan and polished his skills...rather than sit in the stands for half a season I like the kid's ability but unfortunately for him, we're just stockpiled with attacking midfielders in the same age group.
-
As mentioned...@The only place to be, those 2 or 3 signings form the spine of our future team. We have had issues in central midfield for a number of seasons...yet rather than fix the problem, we decided to buy a young kid in MvG and bring back an ageing Essien.
-
What does this have to do with the January transfer window? Post your Lampard stuff in the right thread
-
Van Aanholt should be sold to Vitesse. He's enjoying his football and playing regularly as the LB. If he came back to Chelsea, he would just sit on the bench for 38 games and waste his career...
-
He'll probably go to PSG and play with his international teammate Cavani if LFC can't make the Champions league...
-
To be honest, Man Utd's squad has been poor for the past 2-3 seasons...it's just Fergie was able to paper over the cracks. Moyes doesn't know how to control so many highly-paid egos...he's just lucky that Rooney decided to stay or else they would be much lower in the table..
-
We can talk about all the youngsters we're trying to develop...but realistically, how many of them will get a chance at Chelsea?
-
I don't think we're going to sign 2 CM's in January... I think we'll sign Guarin in January...see how it goes and then sign a top-class midfielder at the end of the season
-
The thing about Benitez was that he didn't have as many options as Mourinho. Benitez had to rely on Hazard, Mata, Oscar and Moses....and in most games, the attacking midfielders played well. The biggest problem is that, even after Benitez left, the board/manager did not address the key problem in central-midfield Maybe if MVG wasn't injured, things would be different...but honestly, you can't expect to dominate the opposition with an ageing Lampard, Ramires, the slow Mikel and an ageing Essien. We had the transfer window to buy a proven CM/DM...but instead we decided to buy a young CM & three attacking mids (including Atsu on loan at Vitesse)...
-
In terms of priority.... 1.we need a CM/DM 2. we need a clinical finisher upfront 3. we need to find a quality, young CB at the end of the season
-
AvB's problem started when he agreed to work with a Technical director of football at Tottenham. He didn't get a say in half the players Tottenham signed and one of the players he desperately wanted ended up joining Chelsea at the 11th hour His reputation would have taken a hit but he's still young enough to polish his managerial skills and eventually return to the PL.
-
I challenge you to stop being so biased towards certain players (e.g Cahill, Lampard) Cahill is an average defender with a poor reading of the game, he's only getting chances at Chelsea because we don't have any other experienced options when JT needs a break
-
I was actually expecting a Tottenham loss... I don't think keeping AvB would have helped them gain a result against West Ham
-
Even if he gets a loan...he will still be the 6th best attacking midfielder at Chelsea He has alot of potential...but what can you do? Spending 30 million on Willian basically ended KDB's Chelsea career..
-
He could be a Meireles type of signing...plays the squad role, does relatively well when called upon and gives Ramires a breather...
