  1. I generally don't agree with your posts but this is so true
  2. Other than that slip-up under Carlo...you would have to go all the way back to March, 2001 when they beat us 4-2 http://www.11v11.com/matches/chelsea-v-sunderland-17-march-2001-5899/
  3. Good to see a solid second-half performance...when that early goal went in, I was fearing the worst. Essien was a bit rusty but he should be able to start the odd HOME game. JT scored against Spurs when we needed it, and he does it again against Southampton....it will be a sad day when JT has to hang up the boots
  4. He did relatively well today It's good to see Torres running at defenders, going up for the headers He'll never be the finisher he was at LFC...but with a fixture pile-up, we need a confident Torres leading the line as best as he possibly can..
  5. It's obvious that chemistry in real life isn't like FIFA...and I should know, as I worked as a professional youth coach at League 1/League 2 level. As for your fast food comment, I'm not sure how good or bad it tastes because I only eat fast food 2-3 times a year.... Your right it is time for some good old patience from the fans..but the bigger question is Roman willing to be patient?
  6. I don't know why it's taking so long for Mourinho to settle on his starting XI... All this chop and change in terms of attacking midfielders ruins team chemistry and creates poor performances...
  7. The Premier League as a whole is stronger than before. However, the top teams are much weaker...and due to more spending, the smaller clubs are getting stronger.
  8. I agree that Piazon has been performing well this season...but in general, the Dutch clubs are fairly weak (other than Ajax).
  9. What's all this fuss about Benitez? Sure, he said some awful things about Chelsea whilst he was the Liverpool manager...but that's in the past He got the caretaker job at Chelsea, helped the players win the Europa League, gave Aké a taste of first team football and then moved on with his managerial career at Napoli.
  10. Intrigued to see Wanyama and Schneiderlin play against our midfield Schurrle MUST play and hope we get the victory
  11. From what i've seen, Courtois is just as talented as Cech was at the same age.. Of course it's a risk in terms of replacing Cech..but tough calls have to be made Would you part ways with a club legend for a youngster capable of providing 10-15 years of top class service? In Jose I trust.
  12. The standard for red cards is getting worse by the season... Strikers start diving with minimal contact and the ref rewards them by giving the opposing defender a red card...
  13. I remember his ability as a youngster, United and Arsenal scouted him more than once at Sporting CP. Veloso won't off the radar after moving to Ukraine He's a good midfielder, has the skillset to play CM/DM and at 27, he's the perfect age
  14. Would hate to see this guy end up in Barcelona.
  15. I wouldn't mind Martinez. He's in his prime and should be more than capable of leading the line at Chelsea... That means next season: Martinez would be #1, Lukaku #2 and Torres #3 (I'm expecting Eto'o to leave and Ba should be gone sooner rather than later)
  16. Based on our December fixture list, I can see Mata potentially playing against Sunderland, Crystal Palace & Swansea/Liverpool.
  17. The Problem is, Spurs didn't need to spend 100 million in the same transfer window. They should have signed 2 or 3 new players, let them adapt to the EPL...assess the situation and then bring in more new faces if needed.
  18. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/nov/26/andre-villas-boas-tottenham-manager AvB to get the sack? Would be interesting to see who they get as a replacement.
  19. I just hope we get some depth in midfield. Lampard is quality but he's 35 and he really shouldn't be playing EVERY game. If we can't get the midfielder we want, Cabaye (newcastle) wouldn't be a bad option
  20. Poor performance, at least the good thing is Schalke drew with Steaua.
  21. Expected West Brom to finish the job in the second half after leading 2-0... Credit to Villa, they seem to be responding well to Lambert.
  22. Moving away from SAF and the Clueless Moyes... Apparently the next manager to get the sack will be Hughton (Norwich).
  23. I'm just as sick of people exaggerating Lampard's play. Yes, he's still a great midfielder but he clearly isn't suited for a deeper role.
  24. It's tough to say this but selling Mata for the right price wouldn't be a bad option For example: if we could get 30 - 35 million and reinvest that money into a CM/DM capable of challenging Mikel, Ramires, Lampard.....I'd be happy
