Will any youngsters make it at Chelsea anymore?

I just don't see the FA agreeing to B teams Right now, most EPL clubs have unofficial affiliates in the Championship or League 1...eg. Man United & Birmingham have an agreement about loaning out youngsters....Liverpool & Derby have an agreement...Arsenal & Sheffield Wednesday have an agreement ...etc -

To be honest, other than Southampton's current production line...most of the EPL teams aren't really producing that much youth. -

So your point is that academies are useless? Even if you have the cash to buy X player, fans love to see a homegrown youngster break into the first team. It's a completely different feeling as a fan, when you see a 19 or 20 year old take his first steps with the main XI, as you know deep down that this kid was produced by your academy As for your example about Fabregas and Pique....from what I recall, it was Fabregas' choice to join Arsenal (even though Barca wanted to keep him) and Pique chose Manchester United when he was 16...because Barca could not offer him a professional contract at that age. -
I think this would be a much more realistic English lineup for Brazil: Starting XI Lallana - Rooney - Sterling/Lennon Gerrard - Wilshere Barry Baines - Cahill - Jags - Walker Forster

Will be interesting to see if Lukaku becomes a regular at Chelsea...he's still got a long way to go in terms of development I think we'll see Courtois and Piazon next season...with the likes of Zouma, Traore in the long run. -
Wouldn't mind 3 years...if it includes a coaching role for JT. eg. He could play another year and then if he wants to stay at Chelsea, he could become Jose's defensive coach
-
Priorities for next transfer window: 1. Quality striker 2. Young LB (I'd take Shaw or Rodriguez)
-
@JayC, No need to be sensitive mate Let's put this way...Mata should help United improve and the 37 million should help us sign a decent striker Win win situation for both clubs?
-
Makes sense...he wouldn't start ahead of JT & Cahill at this point of his young career
-
Does Hernandez fit Mourinho's system? I'd much rather stick with our current 3...and then buy someone at the end of the season
-
If we had actually scored from a set piece against West Ham...then I would understand his importance...but at the end of the day, we didn't score. Azpi should have started at RB against West Ham
-
Let me ask you a question...if Rooney was sold to Chelsea in the last transfer window...and then a Chelsea fan went onto redcafe and started saying: "You sold us your best player"... What type of reaction would he/she receive from United supporters?
-
You have NO CHANCE of winning the league whilst Moyes is the manager A few signings won't do much....you guys need a squad overhaul
-
Can't wait to see Zouma in a Chelsea shirt He's got more potential than Kalas and Omerou
-
yes, he generally is quality but occasionally, he has a bad performance...just like every other midfielder in europe

According to Deloitte... "It suggests a £40m increase on commercial revenue on the previous year and matchday income has increased by 12 per cent to £39.6m. City's overall revenue figure sees them virtually over the line in passing FFP" Full article: http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/deloitte-football-money-league-report-manchester-city-ffp-hopes-lifted-by-revenue-hike--but-its-not-good-news-for-manchester-united-9078607.html

I just don't see Mata returning. He'll probably move to Spain next...and Chelsea will probably sign another attacking midfielder in the coming seasons..
-
City & PSG are making a mockery of FFP... I just read somewhere that PSG want Pjanic (price-tag 45 million euros)...even after they agreed to sign Cabaye for 23 million
-
He's definitely not worth 30 million 20 million + add-ons should be enough to get him
-
Where's the link between Van Persie and Afonso Alves? They were at completely different stages of development.. Van Persie was signed as a 21 year old and developed by Arsenal...Afonso signed for Boro after one great season in the dutch league.

The question should be: why doesn't the club/coach trust them to do a job at LB? Shaw looks like a good player...but is he really worth 25+ million? (In my opinion, no)
-
He's not clinical like Falcao or Cavani...but I'd say his finishing is 7.5/10
-
We're pretty much set for the next decade in terms of attacking midfielders... Everyone is 23 years or younger (except Willian) Now all we need is a quality striker...and a LB capable of taking over from Cole
-
Agree, Neville's not the best commentator...but Michael Owen is awful.
