  1. Totally agree...if KDB wasn't part of Chelsea's plan this season, he could of easily returned to the Bundesliga on loan and polished his skills...rather than sit in the stands for half a season I like the kid's ability but unfortunately for him, we're just stockpiled with attacking midfielders in the same age group.
  2. As mentioned...@The only place to be, those 2 or 3 signings form the spine of our future team. We have had issues in central midfield for a number of seasons...yet rather than fix the problem, we decided to buy a young kid in MvG and bring back an ageing Essien.
  3. What does this have to do with the January transfer window? Post your Lampard stuff in the right thread
  4. Van Aanholt should be sold to Vitesse. He's enjoying his football and playing regularly as the LB. If he came back to Chelsea, he would just sit on the bench for 38 games and waste his career...
  5. He'll probably go to PSG and play with his international teammate Cavani if LFC can't make the Champions league...
  6. To be honest, Man Utd's squad has been poor for the past 2-3 seasons...it's just Fergie was able to paper over the cracks. Moyes doesn't know how to control so many highly-paid egos...he's just lucky that Rooney decided to stay or else they would be much lower in the table..
  7. We can talk about all the youngsters we're trying to develop...but realistically, how many of them will get a chance at Chelsea?
  8. I don't think we're going to sign 2 CM's in January... I think we'll sign Guarin in January...see how it goes and then sign a top-class midfielder at the end of the season
  9. The thing about Benitez was that he didn't have as many options as Mourinho. Benitez had to rely on Hazard, Mata, Oscar and Moses....and in most games, the attacking midfielders played well. The biggest problem is that, even after Benitez left, the board/manager did not address the key problem in central-midfield Maybe if MVG wasn't injured, things would be different...but honestly, you can't expect to dominate the opposition with an ageing Lampard, Ramires, the slow Mikel and an ageing Essien. We had the transfer window to buy a proven CM/DM...but instead we decided to buy a young CM & three attacking mids (including Atsu on loan at Vitesse)...
  10. In terms of priority.... 1.we need a CM/DM 2. we need a clinical finisher upfront 3. we need to find a quality, young CB at the end of the season
  11. AvB's problem started when he agreed to work with a Technical director of football at Tottenham. He didn't get a say in half the players Tottenham signed and one of the players he desperately wanted ended up joining Chelsea at the 11th hour His reputation would have taken a hit but he's still young enough to polish his managerial skills and eventually return to the PL.
  12. I challenge you to stop being so biased towards certain players (e.g Cahill, Lampard) Cahill is an average defender with a poor reading of the game, he's only getting chances at Chelsea because we don't have any other experienced options when JT needs a break
  13. I was actually expecting a Tottenham loss... I don't think keeping AvB would have helped them gain a result against West Ham
  14. Even if he gets a loan...he will still be the 6th best attacking midfielder at Chelsea He has alot of potential...but what can you do? Spending 30 million on Willian basically ended KDB's Chelsea career..
  15. He could be a Meireles type of signing...plays the squad role, does relatively well when called upon and gives Ramires a breather...
  16. The concerning thing is the lack of passion from the players on the pitch.. I just don't get why we can't use a youngster or two in the League cup
  17. Why on earth are you blaming Luiz for the second goal that Sunderland scored? Essien couldn't get to Ki quick enough and then Cahill kept backing off...which caused the 2nd goal
  18. I just don't see KDB staying at Chelsea beyond this season... We could get Moses or one of the other attacking mids on loan to sit on the bench and play in cup games..
  19. Arsenal aren't exactly ruthless...so we have every chance of winning a tight game
  20. One of the stupidest things i've read on the forum. Anyone who thinks Cahill had a good performance against Sunderland needs their head checked...
  21. Awful performance I don't get why we don't use the youngsters in the League cup (e.g. Kalas, Aké...)
  22. Its up to Jose...if he wants to give a chance to Nat like he did with Varane, i'm sure he will.
  23. Guarin adds depth to our midfield which is something we need.. As for Chalobah, i'm a massive fan..but if Jose thinks he ain't ready, I trust his judgement
  24. Well with Luiz, you take the good with the bad As a chelsea supporter, I don't mind the odd Luiz error...because thats the time of player he is.
  25. I don't think it's a mental thing...he just seems underappreciated at Chelsea. Luiz goes through a rough patch of form..and you'd think he's the worst defender to ever play for Chelsea...after reading some of the comments on this thread If you put Luiz on a team with a decent midfield, capable of retaining posession, you'll see him shine.
