  1. I love him for everything he has done for us but he has left a legacy lets leave it at that, plus can you honestly see Roman openly admiting his mistake and saying, 'here you go Jose, unlimited funds, take control', appointing AVB is the closest Roman will ever go to admitting that he should not have sacked Jose. But having said that i have faith in AVB long term, Rome wasn't built in a day, we saw how formidable Porto were when all the players on the pitch suited his style of play, right now we only have a handfull of players that do as soon as more 'AVB players' come in we will reap the rewards furthermore given he worked closely with/under Jose for 7 years if anyone can ge the better of him its AVB, no?
  2. Yum yum PS: Someone should put that in the sexiest male thread, that would make Nicola's (chelsea chick;s) day
  3. There starting to run away with a superior GD which is rather worrying.
  4. Im sorry but we need goals right now, Torres and Drogba this season have frustrated us for 90 minutes, Kalou has been well known to frustrate us for 89, thats the difference.
  5. This took a back seat today I won my game 3-0, but 2 youth players got injured inside 15 minutes
  6. Your all going to slate me for this but we need to bring him in for now up front,or as rotation with Danny, Torres and Didier both need benching. Torres and Drogba just aren;'t scoring, we need GOALS, and for all his other faults Kalou gets them, yes he is frustraing and yes he not the next Henry bla bla bla bla bla bla but really who gives a fuck? we need some and i quote "lucky tap ins" right now.
  7. Im probally going to get pasted for this but with Nando and Didier both failing badly do we put Kalou up top? Yes i know he isnt Henry bla bla bla bla bla forget about all of that, he gets what we need right now so badly GOALS he scores them when he plays and we need them i dont give a fuck about anything else right now, we need GOALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Cahill should have started this one ahead of JT.
  9. We cannot lose twice at Loftus Road in one season, we just can't.
  10. The last 2 months of that season were breathtaking. In highsight a classic example of short term gain for long term pain. We will get those days back tho
  11. The point i was trying to make amoungst it all is .... We are worrying about whether we are going to beat Napoli next month. Portsmouth and Darlington fans are worrying whether they will still have a club to support next month.
  12. Have still got us 4th in the best league in world. Have got us to the last 16 in the biggest club competition in Europe if not the world. Have got us in the last 32 of the FA Cup with a decent draw. Have got us the best young (under 40) manager in the world who will only get better. Have a owner who loves the club and prepared to offer financial backing to the side in the future. Reckon Darlington fans will accept our problems if offered?
  13. It won't make much difference to us whether he goes now or see's out his contract. If he stays until they end of the season he will make 4 subsitute apperances if even that.
  14. The sad thing is on top form he is fantastic, he was a joy to watch in the double winning season (especially at the back end) and the first few games of 2010/2011 when he scored 6 goals in 4 games but he hasn't been anywhere near as good since then and is 31, we aren't going to get much more out of him IMO he should have left instead of Zhirkov, i reckon Zhirkov could have come good this season
  15. It will be interesting if Tottenham and Arsenal are still close to us in the league when they go to Loftus Road and QPR are still fighting relegation what will happen, i honestly reckon QPR fans would happily lose both those games if it affects our CL pursuit, even if it means them going down.

  18. Are we having a cup competition next season LDN, if so i think we need to start recruting new teams as early as now and we only have 22 active teams and will need 32 to start a cup competition.
  19. I think we should look at starting to lesser Terry's role from next season on, we don't want to end up in a Carragher situation. If Bruma, Kalas and Chalaboh can reach their potential we have some awesome cb's.
  20. I think he should get a start at loftus road but for me the first choice centre half's are still Luiz and JT for now. Its up to Gary (like he said) to work his way into the team.
  21. sigh, how is this "settling", every top squad has players like this in it? Damien Duff, Antonio Valencia, Edu, Pedro prime examples of you dont have to be world class to slot into a team or a squad, Edu for example played a bigger part in the Arsenal "invincibles" than most people believe, yet he (aswell as Lauren) was considered the weak link. What if we decided against signing Damien Duff because he was "just" an above average player at an average club? we would have missed out on a pretty good player who helped Robben look even more devestating. Also if we really want world class and not above average players, then calling for Cahill to replace Luiz in the team is hardly the way to go (not saying you do it but ive seen quite a lot of it).
  22. Not a rumour but a personal opinion. I was at The Bridge against Sunderland and Sessegnon caused havoc in the centre and on the wing, is pretty pacy and skillfull, imo will be a very astute squad signing. While he isn't world class or a household name, every team challenging for the top has players like this who fits in perfectly to the TEAM, i could see Sessegnon being like Damien Duff in that respect. But its not just first XL's that win you trophies it's the squad and IMO he would be a very astute squad signing.
  23. ------------------------------------Cech----------------------------------- Ivanovic-----------Luiz---------------Terry------------Bertrand ---------------------------------Romeu---------------------------------- -----------------Moutinho???/McEachran---------------------- -----------------------------------------------Ramires------------------- Hazard???-------------------------------------------------------Mata ------------------------------Sturridge---------------------------------- I honestly believe if we start next season with a lineup like this we are heading in the right direction, say what we likea bout Danny but he is proven goalscorer and thats all we need in a forward. I know some will say no Torres why? but im basing this lineup on the assumption Torres won't turn around his Chelsea career, dont get me wrong i hope he does but there has been precious few signs of it lets be honest. Playmaker from deep and a holding mid will mean Rami can make more dangerous runs into the box which will ultimtely equal more goals.
  24. I dont think we are as bad as last season, not even close. The only problem right now is our players are in 3 brackets. There's Luiz, Ramires and co who are hungry and have eveerything to prove while we have the been there done it's in Drogba, Lampard, Malouda, Cole who don't have the same type of hunger anymore and then we have Ivanovic, Terry,Torres and co who are somewhere inbetween. We need to make a similar statement like we did in 2004, when despite great service to our club we let the likes of Desailly and Hasselbaink leave we have to take a similar stance this summer IMO and let all the players older than Terry leave for the good of the future success here. It wont be easy saying goodbye to Lampard and Drogba but i think the time is right they are no longer going to win us games double handed are command about 300k a week between them in wages that could go to hungry players ready to take us to the next level. I know Lamps and Didier are rightfull club legend's but all succesful clubs make these kind of decision's, Real Madrid did it with Raul and Guti, United with Keane and Beckham, Barca with Deco and Ronaldinho. Basically this summer transfer activity and what AVB decides to do is going to shape us for years to come, tough decision's will be made regarding departures and from a sentimental point of view sad one's but players don't go on forever, the club does and we have to let the players older than Terry leave for the good of the future of this club.
