  1. Both Academica and Porto were in a mess before AVB took over.
  2. How football can change so quick, after the reverse fixture against Everton at SW6 we were tipped as title dark horses and AVB could do no wrong.
  3. Looking at some comments previous on this thread im finding it pretty funny how Anelka is all off a sudden a footballing messiah, he has been just as frustrating to watch in the last year and a half than anyone and keeping him would not have solved the problem.
  4. Scolari inherited a team at its peak, AVB inherited a broken squad, cannot be compared.
  5. Torres out of the lineup, who replaces him? aslong as some one does it can be Ross Kemp
  6. I think its time we ask ourself's the key question. What is more likely to get us back to challenging for the title? Sacking AVB, therefore giving these well fed "superstars" "another chance" or Sacking the well fed "superstars" and letting AVB get his own players. Which is more likely to see us successful again? whether AVB is the right man for the job is still up in the air but we cannot make a fair judgement until (at the very earliest) this time next year.
  7. The sad thing is there are some Liverpool fans that are so far up Suarez's arse they would probably defend him even if he murdered a member of their family.
  8. Thought this was in the transfer thread for a second
  9. Could be TEN points gap between 1st and 2nd if Madrid win the derby, just goes to show Barca can win as many battles with Madrid as they want but if they lose games like this they won beat them in the table.
  10. Considering we were 5th last season also with i think even less points then no too early to say. We say AVB is naive but Carlo showed a fair bit of naivety last season, naming team lineups in press conference's, surely such a experienced manager saw the dangers in that?
  11. To be fair apart from the last 2 and to a lesser extent the Mata one, hes got a point.
  12. Josh seems to be playing in all Swansea's defeats atm Hopefully that won't count against him.
  13. To think we could have had Saha for free, in our current situation we had NOTHING to lose.
  14. Finally secured promotion to the premierleague Congrats to UpTheChels, who will do the same baring a 39 goal swing between them and Kronenberg. The title race between will most probably go down to the wire, UpTheChels will win their games i think, so its goes down to whether i can do the same. Not sure whats happened to FC Kronenberg this season, last time out they beat me to the title.
  15. What would have been the odds of a lucky tap in or 2 had Kalou played today?
  16. My argument that Kalou should be brought back in to this team is getting stronger with every passing match.
  17. There were signs the month before Wilkins left and if were honest if we was superman Scolari would still be our manager.
  18. I would love it if i woke up tommorow and found out some of these players have been sacked.
  19. The point im trying to make is Kalou does get the goals and he is a better option than some one who doesn't. If the chance against Norwich fell to Kalou and not Nando, its more than likely we would have been talking about a hard fought 3 points instead of 2 dropped.
  20. Exactly GOALS, something he for all his other admittedly numerous fault's get and Torres doesn't.
  21. The fact last season Kalou managed to score goals and the fact this time that Danny scores lots, Lampard (from midfield despite having a below par season) scores goals show that there is a lot more to Torres goal drought than the admittedly shite service to him.
  22. Jose would come back to us in an instant if he got offered the chance, Jose does love us and the fact he quit Porto and Inter after 2 years but stayed with us into a 4th season despite the boardroom power struggles says it all. He admitted he got a job offer after the 07 FA Cup final and in hindsight he should have took it but he stayed despite all the trouble's that surely suggest he loves Chelsea. But we should let Jose be what Jose is, a beautiful past of the history, nothing will ever change that.
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KL5OoenVIk Have a look at 0:49 when he tried to run Koscienly but got caught and Kos took the ball off him, this was 6 months before he came here, if Torres still had the pace of a couple of years previous Koscienly would have been mugged a new one there.
