well we need to start taking risk's like these sooner rather than later.

We cant afford to give Cahill 120k a week. Not only with the FFP coming up but also if Cahill is getting that much can you see any geniune world class players accepting less or even that?

Any player who has played a big part in the christmas programme should be rested for this one and i mean not even on the bench. ----------------------------------------------Turnbull-------------------------------------- Hutchinson----Cahill(if signed)---------------Ivanovic----------Bertrand ----------------------------------------------Chalaboh----------------------------------- ------------------------------McEachran------------------Malouda----------------- Kalou-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Kakuta ----------------------------------------------Lukaku---------------------------------------- SUBS: Hilario, Kane, B.Clifford, Deen-Conteh, Djalo, Lalkovic, Phillip. It games like this were still having Kalou and Malouda with their expierence around will come in handy. Ivanovic should play as he missed the christmas period so will have a run out. Hopefully a CB will be signed by then so can slot alongside. Hutchinson and Bertand deserve shots at full back while Chalaboh and McEachran shouldplay CM. Kakuta we should re-call and let him play this one before sending him on loan in France. I know it will leave us pretty thin but the first team players need a rest, they looked like running on empty at times in the festive games and really need a week to freshen up.

Im sorry but (same as we did with Sturridge) Fergie had to loan those 2 to a prem club before he even dared give them a shot, its hardly like he played them out of nowhere.
-
He should be rested for Pompey.

End of the day this is 2012 not 2005, Frank Lampard is no longer good enough to be playing week in week out. This is not me "disrespecting him" or "slagging off" a club legend (which he is, its not even debatable) but shall we just play him until he is 50 just for sentimental value? Lets tell Di Matteo to put his boots on and get out there alongside him while we are at it. No player is bigger than the club, if Frank cannot accept that he is going to be playing a lesser role for here on in and is not prepared to toe in line with the new era he can leave (as a club legend). At his peak one of the if not the best goalscoring midfielder and a criminally under-rated one at that, but are we going to play him for the next 15 years because of that?
-
He's better than Cahill IMO, its not like he will be first choice and he has proven he can hack it against the big boys with MOTM displays against us and Arsenal last term.
-
With Cahill apparently demanding ridicolous wages why don't we move on and go for this guy? (who i think is a better defender anyway). I know he is 29 this year but he won't be first choice starter every week but i doubt he will care, he is a lifelong Chelsea fan and even when he was playing for the Bluenoses still came to watch us a few times apparently. We offer Wolves £8 or so million (which will mean they make a 100% profit) their find it hard to hold on to him especially if Johnson (which i doubt he would turn us down if we came in for him) forces through the move. A better defender, for only a bit more money, less wages and loves the club. No brainer for me.

smh, this is the deal that should have been done on January 1st so we could have prioritised moving higher up the field. Infact if Cahill is being greedy fuck him, sign Roger Johnson, childhood Chelsea fan and IMHO a better player.
-
How come he didn't do a Guadiola and ship a couple of them out early?
-
Sooner or later AVB will lift that Premier League title at Stamford Bridge. Shutting up the media, opposition fans and even some of our own fans and it will be so satisfying.
-
Hansen and co really need to see a doctor, their obsession with slagging of Luiz is becoming borderline stalkerish now.
-
Basically their path's didn't cross on the way back, not the first time or the last that has happened in football, bet its happened with Fergie and a player numerous times i wonder if we saw that in the press?
-
Funny how the media focus on twisting any Chelsea story, yet the Fergie and Rooney supposed bust up has got fuck all attention Even for the sun's standard that's a pretty pathetic attempt at derailing us.
-
As far as a permanent transfer goes we should stay as far clear as possible. But given our limited options in centre midfield would a 6 month loan move be that bad? Then in the summer we can look at a longer term player in that position. Basically if we sign him properly we will get burnt but on a loan until the end of the season, has to be better than no one, no?
-
You could overhear Mick McCarthy greet AVB at the start of the match on MOTD, "Andre, nice to see you"
-
As for Torres yes he has been very good these last 2 games but we need to be realistic, it will only take one thing going wrong to start him slumping and sucking again. The idea of him as a number 10 isn't that bad. If im going to be honest their was a few times today where he was 1 on 1 with the defender and a few years ago his pace would have put him through on goal it was quite frustrating to see if im honest. Just not sure if he has the same quick pace to be a #9 anymore Cahill will only be a back up, can't see him ever being first choice for us.

How is accusing someone of not being a fan on the same level as wishing someone to "die in their bed"? smh
-
It's annoying when user's take football arguments to a personal level no need for it. Not even Justin 3D went this far.
-
Where is the negative rep when you need it?
-
We need to boost the squad if anything. Who cares if they cannot play in the CL? the prority if top 3 finish (so we dont have to play the qualifiying round).
-
It is quite clear that this team as a whole is lacking something. We are blaming AVB for this but if we kept Jose and he done a Fergie at our club and stayed nearly 30 years we would have suffered atleast 2 transition's like this anyway. Look at United between 01-06, they fluked the league once due to Arsenal's extreme choking once but the other 4 years they didn't get close, compare that to the 5 years after that. The main rule with football management is. 1st year - Access the situation. 2nd year - Make changes. 3rd year - Stamp your authority. Now do you really want another new manager in the summer who will "access" Malouda, Bosingwa and co and give them yet another chance, because that will happen. The well fed "superstars" need to fuck off not AVB.
-
You do realise in the alst 12 months Wolves have beaten EVERY top 6 side bar Arsenal (who they quite easily could have turned over at The Emirates)?
-
Heard that last year.
