Howe did not inherit a top 4 team or a team that had previously won the Champions League. The comparism is pointless!

Big shout but I think we should fuck Mount off.
Bring in a real quality CM.
Forget the Leaos and Nkunkus as I can't see them coming if we finish outside top 4.
Get the Ivan Toneys and Trossards.
They are better than what we have and are good enough to push us back into the top 4 if managed correctly.

Tuchel should have never left, but at this point i think the real problem is we have too many shit players who need to fuck off out of this club. Disgraceful and pathetic performances

Watching our matches. Simon Phillips said last week that Chelsea had fresh talks with his agent about contract terms.

No. Thats not what I said. Should never have gotten rid of Tuchel. Thats firmly on Todd Boehlys shoulders as is ultimately how this season goes as hes gambled big time with Potter.
Are you honestly summing up Tuchel’s whole spell here on his last 6 games? Jesus christ. Why do I even bother.

Potter is not the best manager. He even isn't as good as Tuchel. But that doesn't change the fact that he inherited worse squad than the one he left behind. Tuchel had worse squad than half of the league after that transfer window. Nobody can convince me he wanted those pensioners we signed.
Instead of improving, not only because of us, we weakened our team. Last window and this one almost every signing served to degrade already average team. Window prior wasn't success either. We signed 6 players and now want 4 out. Tuchel did wonder with it and messed with heads of recruitment team and the players. They all got the illusion that they were much better team than they actually were.
Why they play Sterling and Pulisic at wing back? To compensate what James and pre injury Chilwell did for us. We need that in this stupid back five system. Why we play back five system? Because our defenders are too old and our central midfielders can't defend or attack.
This team is eighth at best.

Pretty much done here until it's fixed.
The board's overall functionality is a hot mess.
Sorry, hope all keep safe.

'He is one of our sons!': Todd Boehly is slammed for claiming Mo Salah came from Chelsea's academy by chief of the Liverpool star's first club in Egypt - as he accuses the 'ignorant' American owner of a 'lack of understanding'
Whoops ! 🤐 Maybe best to keep schtum like Abramovich, Henry, the Arab sheiks...and the Glazer freaks

Hermione reacted to Magic Lamps in Graham Potter Thread
It nearly worked bc our opponent was an Austrian clown team missing starters. This defence would get wrecked by the top half of the PL. this preseason game could cost us our place in the r16 of CL missing out, this is not a game to try out a slow, 70 yo cb pairing for whatever insights you may possibly get by watching players who have been around forever for the umpteenth time. winning vs Salzburg does not require a miracle worker or drastic improvements. All it requires is the kind of performance that should be expected even by this squad. But GP tinkered in a very uninspiring way and it backfired. If he had played the likes of Broja, Gallagher, halobab etc, fine, ballsy move but at least he builds for the future but today was presumably his idea of playing it safe and that selection was crap. One could argue he has no clue about his new team yet.

He rates Mount, this is huge red flag because Mason and good attacking team cannot go in the same sentence. 5 subs and he finished the game with that display.

Not going to lie, for me, this guy is nothing but an absolute mouthpiece. Not a fan. All he does is talk and talk and talk and talk. Journalists must love him though- plenty headlines to keep them busy.

Hermione reacted to Magic Lamps in Todd Boehly Thread
For sure but every reason presented so far sounds weak…
- had different transfer targets … yeah and rightly so. We can thank TT for years for us not having signed Kounde or Ronaldo
- did not respond the to WhatsApp messages… many ppl don’t, just give him a call
- the new ownership wanted their own man…. Understandable but when you have one of the best coaches in the world maybe give him a proper try first
- disconnect with the players … the gravest one but I think that one gets blown out of proportion. He still looked on good terms with the most Important ones. There are always a few rotten apples
- terrible football and lack of motivation. Surely a bigger deal but we had such a slump under Sarri as well and somehow pulled thru. Players are spoilt brats these days but when you think you only get them back to speed with hiring a new manager you are only kicking the cab down the road
Truth is we were never gonna challenge for the PL title with city still going this strong for the next few years. With or without TT. But if I had to pick one manager to deliver consistent top 4 finishes and maximize the cup runs it would be TT. Potter is a far bigger downside risk with no added upside.

Hermione reacted to Strike in Todd Boehly Thread
Tuchel wanted Matthijs de Ligt, Raphinha, Frenkie de Jong and Presnel Kimpembe. He did not want Kounde and Ronaldo which were broadly the right decisions for me. The club also reportedly drew up plans for a 4-4-3 formation - some amateur stuff happening if true.
All the club briefings on the sacking point to a broken relationship and I have no qualms with the decision. But to say Todd and co. are doing a good job after this transfer window is a big leap for me. I feel they have the enthusiasm and the best interests at heart but I am not convinced they are going to run this club efficiently yet. They have to be held accountable for this summer as much as Tuchel

Taking us down to perdition.
Instead of growing the club he will stagnate it so bad that he will sell the club eventually at a loss.

It is a privilege to have this guy at our club.

Hermione reacted to OneMoSalah in Todd Boehly Thread
After a good start initially when he came in, I am now a bit more dubious and also curious to see how things go from here on, seemed to be a lot of noise about him in the window and now after sacking a manager, lots of talk of situations which you wouldn’t necessarily want to see at an elite level football clubhouse .
First and foremost if you don't want someone as manager don’t let them spend 270m and sack them 7 games after full pre season. For me that is amateurish. If he wanted Graham Potter before the season started, cut the cord, make your intentions clear… don’t go on talking nonsense about giving another manager a new deal, wanting him central to the club etc. Absolutely amateurish.
Secondly the Ronaldo situation as mentioned above also by another member. Let the football people make the football decisions. Or appoint some competent football people first. Ronaldo would of purely been a statement signing and a commercial one, as he clearly like Lukaku wasn’t going to fit TT’s team. No wonder pundits such as Neville and Souness weren’t waiting about to take pot shots at him but also rightfully so in some regards.
Thirdly his refusal to follow Tuchel’s idea to meet certain players who were targets and get a feel for their character, personality and figure out how they may fit in the group as well as in the team and just purely trusting performance data. I think after the Lukaku debacle, their character and how their personality fits into the group should be hugely considered.
Fourthly scrapping a whole football infrastructure without having any real key components in place or at least some personnel to try and smooth it over, this has also contributed to the Tuchel situation and furthermore whilst it may not affect Graham Potter immediately, may when things are in place. Could always be a clash of personalities, opinions etc. this guys need to all be on the same page for us to be successful.
I am still hopeful after this whole summer and the Tuchel sacking that Boehly’s intentions are obviously to challenge and improve the club on all levels so that it can be highly successful but I am a bit more sceptical now. I might end up eating humble pie eventually but I just feel the guy was full of shit on all the messages and praises on Tuchel so who’s to say he wont be with Potter? Or anything else that he made out to be his intentions?
Anyway onwards and upwards.

Did Roman sack Ranieri as soon as he bought the club?

Hermione reacted to Blue Armour in The Tuchel Thread
Really? I'm more surprised at how many people have more loyalty to an owner who just arrived a few months ago, over a manager who was part of the clubs identity for more than a year and part of an upswing of fortunes.
Yes, Boehly pulled us out of the fire with his massive investment. But let's be clear. If not Boehly, it would have been someone else. Don't see why fans need to lick his feet.
Atm, I'm seeing trigger happy actions similar to what we've seen in Roman's early days, and even he wasn't this trigger happy then.
I hope it all turns out for the better, but it is jarring to say the least
