Essien19 reacted to killer1257 in Roman Abramovich Thread
I am sooo devasted and heartbroken that our Roman has to leave Chelsea because the shit English media and government put so much pressure on Roman to sell. What idiots. They forgot how much Roman did for Chelsea and for the City of a London, especially during Coman years d. But they hated him from day one because he is Russian.
Roman is a true hero for donating the profit to ukrainian people that need it. I will always miss Roman. We will never be the same without him. At least he went away with another CL trophy and now he won every trophy there is to win.
Roman Empire will be missed

It's really painful watching Chelsea like this, i'm having flashbacks of that despicable 15/16 season.

I think our midfield is quite overrated apart from Kante. Our only really creative player is Billy and he rarely plays. I never expect from Mount, Jorgi and Kova to create many chances. We always relied on one creative player over the past and that was Cesc back in the day. Nowadays, our wingers have to be on their A game to create something on their own
Yes, I agree that for instance Antonio will be difficult to handle, but Silva and Zouma should be competent enough to handle the situation.

Actually I do. With city struggling and Liverpool injuries. The league is there for the taking. Squad wise we also don't need much other than a dm.

Great. The game is over. Christensen making such a school boy mistake. Unforgivable to clatter into him like that. Anyone saying it's Kepas fault is delusional. Christensen let Mane get the run on him and then acted like a rookie CB.

Not really, he was never signing a new deal, I was referring to more the posts (which were prevalent in his last season especially) of people genuinely thinking he was an average keeper.

no matter how shit and corrupt this whole situation is, we should in no way have to depend on a ban for City to qualify for CL, we need to earn it. Fuck City, CAS, UEFA, FIFA, etc
its all about the money for those assholes, football is too damn dirty.

Kante played really well last game and his energy is 100% needed in this game.

Wait, what's the problem with Kante?
He is finally healthy and is easily one of our best players.
Let me get this right, you think he SHOULDN'T play?

I like your suggestion but I admit I have always been against the expansion of the numbers on the bench because i think it favours the richer clubs and they/we have enough advantages as is. Insisting on some kind of academy representation is potentially the compromise which would make me buy in to the plan.
Without such a provision I'm dead against the idea. After all, the nine names on Man City's bench would be an entirely different kind of list to the one Norwich could muster.

The thing with this innocent until proven guilty argument is a little bit more complicated. He cannot win now. Yes, he can win a potential trial, heck, he may even be truly and really innocent. But the damage has been done, the public will remember this. You already mentioned Ronaldo or Kobe. The opposition fans will milk this. Remember the chants aimed at Van Persie? 'She said no, Robin, she said no.' And if he wins a potential trial or the lady will take her words back, there will surely be accusations of him paying big money to her so she shuts up. He cannot win now.

If he is done for rape, he should 100% be sacked. Really cant see how it would be a debate. Might ruffle a few feathers here but really do think if anyone disagrees they should take their head out of their arse. He will be lucky to avoid jail time yet alone not get sacked if this is true and he has done what they are reporting.
If it turns out this is a money grab plot by the lassie though she should be ashamed of herself. These things do happen too it is scary what folk will do for attention.
Regardless he will face some sort of disciplinary to say the least for even having a meet up during lockdown.
Also people saying about Ronaldo and rape, jesus christ cmon, he was accused twice and cleared twice. I think the first one came out and said she lied and the second one he had basically given them access to everything they needed to determine if he did it or not and the allegations were dropped. Until all the details are out there and the case is build or ripped apart depending on whether its true or not they cannot be compared.

Everton have a pretty decent looking team, tbf. This will take some excellent performances from our whole XI to get 3 points.

We're Chelsea not fucking Bristol Rovers we should give a good account of ourselves that's a given. If Giroud plays tomorrow and Willian instead of Mount then apart from Reece James how is that a team full of youngsters ?.

You make it sound like Emerson is as much good offensively as Alonso.
Alonso for Chelsea 134 games 19 goals 17 assists
Emerson 52 games 1 goal 5 assists.
Huge difference.

In big games at the minute I'd agree but in games where we're looking to be spending most of the game in the middle and final third, pushing up pressing and passing through the eye of needles I'd say the Jorgi and Kova are the men.
The first 80 minutes of Watford away is the pure blueprint for me, it was an absolute delight to watch. Kept setting pressing bait time and again and played out and through them with so much ease and whenever we lost it got it back unbelievably quickly. I think eventually the plan/hope is to be able to play like that even against the best (ironically how our lads did at youth level, rival sides including Sancho, Foden, Rashford, Trent couldn't cope with us) which in that case they would be first choice full stop.

Essien19 reacted to Thor in 🇪🇸 Álvaro Morata
Morata is more than good enough. Slagging him off when the whole team was playing like garbage isn't fair.
Giroud comes on and Conte changes the whole formation and tactics to a far more attacking one... Of course we're going to produce more chances.
Giroud is a great sub, but saying he is better than Morata is a joke. Just because our manager can't set up properly, don't take it out on the players.
