It's not a sackable offence, but it definitely leads to it if we lose the EL final. There was no need for RLC to play, or even travel. Just lie that he has a bad back or something.

I'm aware Sarri never wanted this meaningless game, but he should have the brains to use first team players as little as possible. RLC should have never gotten a minute.

This is a charity publicity stunt. You don't think Buck pressured Sarri to play his strongest XI? People came to see Chelsea's stars, not their youth products and loanees.

Sarri didn't want any of this, and it was blatantly obvious given how he reacted after RLC was subbed off.

Someone said it was in the contract we had to play starters

if true

Marina will never cede power, and Roman backs her to the bitter end

why do you think we have no DoF for what will soon (in around 5 and half months) be two years?

no one wants it as it is currently constituted

we are a fucking joke:rant:

Does anyone know exactly when this game was arranged presumably after we got knocked out of the fa cup. Seeing as we've been in the last two cup finals surely to god it wasn't earlier in the season. Good intentions are fine but ultimately this game was a half arsed pa exercise that the fans and the manager were against can't imagine the players were overjoyed either Ruben must be fucking fuming and who could blame him.

The friendly was announced in early March, IIRC.

Why the fuck wasn't this match arranged for preseason?

Every CFC supporter knew it was going to be a disaster, one way and another, why the fuck didn't Abramovich and the muppet board.

Not only is RLC going to miss the final, he's also out of the England squad, well done Roman you cunt.

The clubs is fucking CLUELESS. This official announcement proves it!!!

Boston trip proves to be a fantastic success

Three goals, two scored by Ross Barkley and one by Olivier Giroud, plus over $4 million dollars raised for a range of organisations are the headline figures from our Wednesday night game in the United States.

You see what I mean mate.....RLC injured, a huge doubt for the final. Its after the end of the season, only 1 game left, a huge game, and we have suffered. Totally pointless, friendly or not, the risk is too big considering we have a final. Stupid club call,  stupid manager. Winner today is not the fight against racism. It is Arsenal.

Yeah, this injury suck, but these things can happen on trainings too, especially with porcelain men like Rubey.

Pointless game at this time of the season, it could have waited for 3 week ... more over why did we field the entire first team on this one? Why cant we have mix & match of experience and youth even if the contract says so.

We're just getting absurd with every passing day.

Please tell me you understand how contract works.

It is always the case in this kind of game. If it is not in the contract team will send their kids in this kind of games.

Would suggest any director of football who isn't a yes man will last a very short time indeed

Yeah but come'on, just been through a tough season, 1 huge final in wait, and the best they can come up with is a meaningless match with our starters playing......its called suicide, its called bad planning, just another evidence our people know not what they are doing.

It worked as long as RA were with us anf were ruthless, when he was ambitious and had real pride in the name of Chelsea. Now it looks like who can be the better puppet.
