Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is undergoing a medical in England after we agreed terms with RC Genk for the transfer of the 19-year-old on Sunday.

Speaking after arriving in Kuala Lumpur on the club's pre-season tour, Villas-Boas said: 'At this moment he is having a medical but has not yet agreed personal terms.'

Courtois, who won the Belgian Goalkeeper of the Year and RC Genk Player of the Year awards last season, made his debut in 2009 while still 16, and has been a member of his national team's squad for the recent European Championship qualifier against Turkey.

It is not expected that he will join up with the squad in Asia should the transfer be completed in time.

I was inclined to seeing him on the bench rightaway after Hilario and Turnbull’s recent quirks against Pompey .
