Justin_3d 1,140
Football is unpredictable you say? Five years ago I would probably agree with you.But now tell me... When can we expect Atletico or Valencia to win La Liga again?I'm not saying surprises won't happen in future, but will happen much less frequently than before. From game to game we can see surprises more often, but when it comes to winning the League, favourites are pretty strong in both, England and Spain.TX and Sloth have a point, and the rest of us will see that in 2 or 3 years time. Two main differences between us and Man City are:- Man City is learning from our mistakes.- When Europe crisis hits again unlike Roman those Sheiks will only get richer. (Sounds ugly, I know).Besides City's loss today against 10 man QPR with all that money spent would have been big blow for their winning mentality from which they wouldn't have been able to recover easily. On the other hand winning League in this manner is likely to have similar impact but opposite one. However, if we manage to win on Sunday we would surpass City in success and I'm pretty confident, in winning mentality . That would be big positive blow for our club in every aspect with which City's title couldn't be measured. We would find ourselves in the pole position again.I think Spain is the only difference compare to other leagues. They have a duopoly over there. In Italy is not like that, giving that Juventus won the league with a far lesser budget. In Germany, Dortmund winning 2 leagues consecutive against the big Bayern. In England is like that is very competitive league, is not like Spain....well with the exception of United, which is sort of like a Real Madrid/Barcelona figure in itself. laura90

communicate 2,703
I don't think people are giving Man U enough credit though, have you seen the squad Man United have?, they had there best defender injured Vidic, who for me is the best centre back in the world. They didn't spend that as much as City have. They've had to play youngsters most of the season fair to play to them, they did really well, yeah they got very lucky at times but still. City have spent miles more than we have, 38 million on Aguero, 30 million on Dzeko, 25 million on Balotelli, Tevez and Adebayor aswell.Fucking Mancini brings back Tevez when he says he will never play again, also brings back Balotelli when he says he will never play again.City won it in a poor season and still struggled, and managed to win on goal difference. For me they didn't deserve it.I think it's harsh to say that they don't deserve it. They are not big name club so they need to spend big to get good players. We did the same thing under abramovic and transfer market right now is crazy. Manchester united had their core ready but city is a newly assembled team. bloody

Laylabelle 9,536
I dont think anything can be taken away from City. They spent money...so did we.The hard part is getting your team to gel together in a way that works. That will get results etc.And Mancini done exactly that.May have delt with things in a really bizare way,Tevez,Balotelli etc but still managed to keep the squad together. They went out today did what they had to and got the result in the end.Man U however, shittest team in a long time still challenged for the title right till the end and they will be the team to beat really.Fergie knows what he's doing, how the choose the right players that will have an impact on their team. And that wont change. And would've felt sorry for them loosing but so many dodgy decisons this season.Mean every team had a fair few but they seem to take the piss! End of the day they lost it against Everton really...their fans have taken it pretty well from what I've read...most have congraulated City so least from most no complaints and Fergie didnt go off on weird things.Make a change! communicate 2,703
Unless they start bringing the like of messi and ronaldo to their squad, City will not dominate EPL. They will challenge for the title every year like us but they are not going to win every year.
middleoftheshed 388
What a way to win it, feel like I've missed out a bit by not seeing it live though - heard it from the announcer at SB but its not the same.
Term-X 7,891
why does that mean that there ok on the FFP front how much money did they get for it?Etihad & Man-City are the same thing, owned by the same family. Thus exploiting a loophole, so City are 'essentially' sponsoring themselfs. Which is how they managed to bypass the FFP.

Justin_3d 1,140
For those that believe that City will dominate the next couple of seasons hands down, then don't bother watching the sport at all.If you are so sure that is going to happen while down casting Chelsea, then go spend your time some where else. Popular Post! Ollie 4,400 Posted May 13, 2012 Popular Post! Share Posted May 13, 2012 Crazy reading here. First of all, well done Man City for helping stop the boring, tedious, long winded success of Man Utd. It's been too fucking long, especially for me who was born the same year Ferguson took over. My whole life has been Man Utd this, Man Utd that, bluh, bluh, bluh...zzzzzz 2012 = Manchester United trophyless. Time for change. We did something similar in 2005 and then we won it again is 2006 and 2010 as well as winning a host of other domestic silverware. Even now, as of today the 13th May 2012 we've won the FA Cup and are in the Champions League final so despite having a pretty miserable league season, the success is still ongoing here and it will carry on. Our owner has money too ya know. We've won a lot of shit in the last decade and are only 90 minutes away from possibly getting the holy grail, the Uefa Champions League and tbh if we win that, i don't give a shit about anything else, especially not Manchester fucking City. It was only a matter of time Manchester City winning the league, and it's happened today in dramatic circumstances. If they fucked up now, he'd spend another £100m and try again so it would come. I must admit even on 91 minutes, i thought they'd win. Something just told me that this is Man City's time somehow. The looks of those Man Utd fans was priceless when the goal went in, they showed it on Sky from the ecstasy to the agony. Look at this Man City team and look how they have struggled tho. They were lucky today and with all the great players they have, they shoulda won the league ages ago. In 2005, we pissed it with like 3 games left or something, was easy. They've been shit for 2 months and i think that there are problems there, i'd not get upset about them winning the league with the shittest competition on goal difference. We shouldn't read into Man City dominating for years and years. We should just wait and see what happens because nobody really knows. If they spend another £100000m then so be-it, what can we do? Fuck all really. We just have to focus on us, hopefully we can buy players that are good enough to take us back to the next level. Look at Man Utd... they don't even have a great CM or a good defence but they stick in there. We need to go back to being hard to beat and i'm sure we will. I reckon we now have the best defence in the league. If we can inherit 1 or 2 world class players on the wing or in midfield, we will compete. We aint far away. 6th looks bad but that's because of the disruption of earlier in the season with AVB but that's over now. Time for us to forget those horrible few months from October - January and move the club forward again. It does not get bigger than the UCL. If we land that, we'll be huge next season. We'll attract the worlds best. The difference between coming 6th and being in the Europa League to winning the Champions League is so big, there isn't a word big enough to describe it. Fuck City, Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs..... We win next Saturday, it's all about Chelsea. Shane 2,275
How many more players can City bring in though? Alot of there squad players will probably leave in the summer, and won't settle for low wages, So they'll have to pay wages along with it. Any top players they bring in will be demanding up on 200,000k a week.It doesn't happen like that, Its been said over and over that a team will dominate but they won't. City won't win the next 5 Premierships.
Justin_3d 1,140
Well nonetheless what ever happens in the future, I just saw an amazing game.Even the commentators went mental.http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lqi5nPew5EgI think this is the only place I see where opposing teams are such haters. Cause in other places fans from other teams just congratulate the winning teams. Liverpool fans, Barcelona fans, Fulham fans and such. This place is becoming like RAWK. Fill with hate and envy.....
