It was quite a hit, but Krul could have save it had he not taken a step in the wrong direction. It was hit straight at where he was standing originally and didn't take any deflects or deviations. He should have done better with it, imo.

He was moving in the right direction to be fair to him... Until the ball started moving in the air. Nothing he could do about it. Great strike.

Doubt it. The shot had so much power behind it...similar to a Lampard penalty.

jynx :-P

Tell me about it. I remember you telling me that QPR will bring their top game against us and i was like 'no, no you see they have lost last 23 away matches'. I feel like an idiot right now. :ermm: But i gotta say QPR didn't bring their top game, it's just that Chelsea never turned up for the game.

I was alerted to this via an article by Stephen Schmidt on WAGNH:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2256820/Luis-Suarez-switch-positions-Daniel-Sturridge-transfer.html#ixzz2GxoWemKz

Sounds to me like 'ol Danny boy is going to get his wish of playing through the middle. I think the risks far outweigh the benefits. Suarez has been a top CF this season.

Just watched Brighton's Lopez with one of the worst dives I've seen in order to get Ameobi sent off (which worked). He literally rolled over five times. The last one, he actually stopped to make sure the ref was watching and then went on to roll again. Should be a suspension IMO.

Since BA was signed, what chances are there for Falcao to be signed in the summer ?

Even Lukaku might not want to come back to play for Chelsea, I feel.

I think it's pretty likely that we'll still bid for a top striker in the summer. Ba seems to have been signed as a way to help us out for the remainder of the season with us playing so many games.

I reckon we'll sign a top striker in the summer and Lukaku will go somewhere on another loan move.

Well, I hope you are right but somehow I get the feeling Chelsea just might buy other players than strikers now.

2 0 brighton.though like new castle fans say this aint an upset as Brighton were the bookies favouite

Gus Poyet knocks Newcastle out of the FA Cup yet again! (He scored a brace for us against Newcastle in the FA Cup semi-finals in 2000). Always liked him as a player. Scored some fantastic goals for us so nice to see him have some success with Brighton.
