The secret to Manchester City's success? 'We have a lot of MONEY', says Pep Guardiola as boss refreshingly admits their £2BILLION spending is the main driver behind 19-game winning streak

He was being sarcastic but it is true.

West Ham is actually playing very good. Compared to how Monchengladbach, Arsenal etc played, they pose a threat to Man City. Let's hope City beat them though.

This happens when you have a very good midfield. West Ham's midfield is highly underrated

Impressive by Wham to play football vs ManCity, match them blow for blow and not get slaughtered. Testament to how an elite midfield like Soucek and Rice changes an entire team of otherwise average players.

2-1

Still point stands. city win actually better for us

Interesting tactic by Pep to have a CB join the attack to provide a focal point from time to time to break down a disciplined defence

Btw the goal by Stones is the exact kind of chance Chilwell had when he skied it vs Wolves (and similar to the one Alonso put in the keepers arms vs Southampton and Newcastle). Helps when your defenders are proficient at sharp direct finishes as well.

Both Soucek and Rice would actually improve our midfield massively. There is nothing Jorginho can do that Rice can not. On the other hand Rice is both disciplined in his positioning defensively as well as more than comfortable moving with the ball in the final third. Something you hardly see Jorginho doing.

A MAN who pretends to like football in order to impress other men has found his enjoyment of it unaffected by the ban on live crowds.

Stephen Malley introduces himself as a Man Utd fan, despite the notable handicaps of living 150 miles from the stadium and not fully understanding the offside rule.

Malley said: “I don’t see the appeal of a packed ground on match day, the menu is always disappointing and you can never find an usher when the chap in front keeps standing up.

“Some say I’m less of a fan, just because I don’t enjoy the excessive noise and unsettling macho energy of the ground, and prefer to watch the game from the comfort of home.

“Or better still, simply Google the result on Monday morning in case anyone asks how ‘the lads’ got on at the weekend.

“Luckily we’re all in the same boat now. Lockdown really has been a great leveller for all us diehard soccer enthusiasts.”
