Watford might as well not have taken the field today.

It’s why I didn’t even bother watching this game. Soon as I looked at the fixture list early this morning I knew Liverpool would absolutely better Watford.

If Salah remains fit for the whole season they’ll be right there at the very end in the title fight. Liverpool’s first XI is still as good as anyone’s in the world. It’ll come down to the big games for them and fitness of 2-3 key players. Because they’re likely going to annihilate all the small teams like they are today. Back to their best attacking wise.

5-0 full time. I know early days but don't get why they were sorta forgotten by some people and sports people and all...Salah atm back to scoring for fun. Wasn't the one season wonder some thought he would be...

Hey ho..just get our game done

Tbf, they had a lot of question marks heading into the season. It wasn’t a given that all their injured defenders would look like their best selves again. Mané, by his standards, was really poor last season. They only signed 1 player who isn’t even a starter. And Klopp was talking about his post Liverpool life and about burning out.

I think it was right to wonder whether a team that goes 120mph at all times could recapture their form of a couple years ago. Annoyingly for all non-Liverpool fans they have.

Only thing that really makes me envious of them is the sheer variety of ways they can kill teams compared to us. In any given match one of Salah or Mané can be totally unplayable and world class. Sometimes they both will be. BOTH of their fullbacks can slaughter you going forward or on set pieces. Their damn keeper can launch attacks from the back.

For us it seems like we either get goals from Rom or random defenders. None of our midfielders score, none of our wide players score, and our attacking fullback play has been poor overall, few flashes apart.

Gilmour starting on the bench for Norwich. Looking like another bad loan move for a number of reasons.

The fact Salah has probably taken his game to the next level is a big factor.

I think how they cope during the AFCON will be telling (potentially four games depending on how well either nation does).

One thing that could mess their season up is the African Cup which could see Salah and Mané miss almost a month. They’re a lot less scary with Minamino, Firmino, and Jota as their front 3. Still decent but not scary.

They’ll still keep plenty of clean sheets though if they keep the likes of van Dijk, Matip, Gomez and Konate fit plus the likes of Jota and Firmino will still score goals also so they’ve still got a very very good chance of being in the title run. The ability to keep clean sheets always gives you a chance of winning.

In January it also will depend who they play though and how far Senegal and Egypt go in the AFCON. If they get a run of easy games, keep their backline fit as well as Jota and Firmino they’ll be there or theres about by the time they return after AFCON.

They look very good and unfortunately right now the only team I would say who are going to properly challenge City because you can say as a title challenging team, they are more mature and ready than we are. Still think we will give it a good shot but potentially will fall away.

They play us on 1st Jan and Palace & Leicester during that period. However, I expect Liverpool to ask for their respective confederations to keep them till after they play us.

Don't we lose Mendy? That could be shite depending what Kepa appears during that time

Pool look a machine

unless you count Mbappe as a wing player, Salah is easily the best winger on the planet atm

what a player (diving aside)

the first goal pass from Mo to Mane was just extraordinary, equal to the best De Bruyne can do
