Fernando 6,595
Mou won't be sacked unless we have a massive nose dive, Romans previous sackings run deeper than just results.Making another Scolari lite error will set us back years, under Jose we will at worst be competing at a very high level. So then what was the excuse that the reason mourinho don't play much youth right now is because we have to win something? Barbara 15,149
Ironic that you're commenting about how Hazard deserves the recognition today (which I fully agree with btw) and then go on to post about Lampard in the Hazard thread.Leave the Lampard discussion for the Lampard thread, and the Hazard discussion for here. Hazard was indeed brilliant today. I loved the fight he had in him. Absolutely outstanding, even when we were 4-1 or 5-2 down. And if you're going to call Lampard a liar and a son of a bitch, do it in his thread because I would love to reply to that but this thread is about Hazard.I'll answer here, because I refuse to go to Lampard's thread.I just meant that we should be praising Hazard for what he's been doing more than resenting Lampard for what he's been doing. The liar SOB part was because I lost all respect for him regarding this transfer (I've always defended him, and I still believe he's free to choose to play wherever he pleases, wherever he feels is better for him). The liar SOB part - and should have added coward - is that is now reported he has never signed with NYC in the first place, but with City and didn't even have the decency of doing it for everyone to see. Man up, and admit what you do, like a man, don't be a coward. Ashley left Arsenal and came here, many others did the same. The fans get pissed, but do it in the clear, for everyone to see, don't come with those shady deals to save face. Not to mention how the NYC fans are probably feeling cheated on.I still respect his legacy with us, I would still respect him as a MAN (has nothing to do as a player) if he had done the deal with City in the clear, but after acting like a coward, a man that runs away from the consequences of his actions, I've got no respect left for him.And I'm not willing to keep talking about him - so I don't think I'll answer you again on the matter, as I said, it's sad that instead of talking about Hazard - our present and future, most people are talking about Lampard. The Chels 2,502
The majority of City's players have won the title twice in the last 3 years. In contrast most of our squad has never won the PL and Jose hasn't won a trophy in a while so you'd think we'd be well ahead based on motivation. The old cliché 'it's harder to retain the league than it is to win it' is certainly true and you have to credit City for how they are keeping up with us even though they are almost certainly a lot less hungry for the title than we are. Laylabelle 9,539
They seem to be able to take advantage of other teams mistakes whereas we have a habit of being the team to make the mistake or do the ssme. They don't cracks under pressure n has been title win in the last few games of the seasonNo back to back..hopefully that won't change

LMAO.Please tell me Toure is fucking off to ACoN for a month. You know what's crazy?Courtois, Terry, Azpi, Matic, Fabregas, Hazard and Costa are all top candidates for a spot in the PL team of the year. Terry, Azpi, Matic, Fabregas and Hazard would even make most people's team of the year. The only top candidate and red hot favourite at City is Aguero. The likes of Hart, Kompany, Toure, Nasri aren't at their best and Silva has been in and out of games because of injury.Chelsea and City have the same amount of points. How is that possible? DYC. 7,542
Or schedule has been incredibly difficult, we have played more away games than any other pl teamI just checked. Chelsea have played 11 away games, City 10. Chelsea 19 points, City 23 points.City do have the far tougher away game schedule though. West Ham and Arsenal are the most tricky for Chels. City have to go to Everton, Chelsea, Stoke, Liverpool, Man Utd and Tottenham. So that definitely makes things more difficult for them. Our team hasn't exactly been performing away from home though. Need to step it up. 6 W from the last 8 away games should be possible. 5 W at the least, with max 1 L. I wonder how long the perfect home run will continue. Everton have been poor this season. Liverpool are still unpredictable. And Tottenham have been absolutely rubbish in recent games against City. DYC. 7,542
3 things in the main for me - better quality off the bench, easier fixtures and some refereeing decisions.Do they really have the better bench? They have better options at RB, more options at CB but the rest? Fernando/Fernandinho, Lampard, Milner, Navas/Nasri, Dzeko and Jovetic vs. Mikel, Ramires, Schurrle, Salah, Drogba, Remy? It's not that much better. I'd say they rotated better (also because of injuries). They seem more in tune when they play.Easier fixtures, yes. I didn't check the schedule. That definitely plays a part.

Liverpool could surprise. Most likely not, but still. Tottenham are usually rubbish against Chelsea! Bastards.
