Sir Mikel OBE 4,920
To be fair they were never going to let him leave, especially with Yaya going to the ACON this(or next if you are in the western hemisphere) month. The big question is will he still be there next season. Still a decent enough option on the bench, and he is not at a stage where he is seriously considering playing in the mls
Fernando 6,585
Yeah I'm disappointed with Lampard as well. But I'm at least thankful for the many years he gave us. Not legend okay fine move on. But still thankful for his time. RoyalBlues

RoyalBlues 4,050
It is expected, but you couldn't deny there is some feeling of disappointment when it's really happening now. Our right response is to win the PL this season, will be more sweet than ever.Oh, and I hate Pellegrini, f*** off with your new year's present. iceman
Atlas Lion 1,223
you obviously didnt see Zola not only a greater player BUT a TRUE Gentleman. Gave his word and kept it .Highly debatable. I have a mate's father who has seen Osgood and Tambling in their prime and to this day still says Frank Lampard is the greatest player to put on a Chelsea shirt. Magic Lamps 11,692
The player is cfc's best ever and THE all time legend. The man surely is not.He was always gonna join City to make US pay for not offering him a new contract or more money or whatevs. I despise that attitude and that he did not open up about his true motives. But opposite to him we should take this with dignity. We are a Chelsea, we are above the Liverpool vor Arsenal mob who spit on their legends. We will win the league and wait for him to beg us to forgive him.
samzilla 517
We all knew City were going to find another FFP loophole. First their sponsorship deal, now NYCFC. Just buy players as NYCFC then loan them to Man City Of course now it's being said it was never a loan after being billed that by all involved for the past 8 months. Just shady business all around. Wonder how long FIFA allows that to continue? They'll actually probably give Man City a trophy for their creative corruptness, after all, who knows corruption better than FIFA. Also, how is the Mansour group allowed to do this whilst owning multiple teams? Mike Ashley, for example, was just denied a larger stake in Rangers because of owning Newcastle. But the Mansour group can just do whatever they want? You'd think the FA or US Soccer would have rules against this very thing. Especially after the debacle that was Chivas in the MLS. Bir_CFC 3,455
He's indirectly saying he'd rather City win the title than Chelsea. A Chelsea legend wouldn't be saying that. Very disappointing.
gary gordon 1,777
Thankful for what Frank has done for the club in the past. Make no mistake people, he is now the enemy. Anybody who wears the opposing jersey to ours is. For his sake i hope he cops a season ending injury. I love him way too much to see him come home and step out in that filthy shirt bought by Arab money.

Popular Post! CHOULO19 24,332 Posted January 1, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted January 1, 2015 Staying with City till the end of the season is not surprising (frankly, you have to be pretty naive or in deep denial not to see that he wanted to from the start). What is surprising, is that he never even signed for NYFC. That is incredibly unethical for someone who is supposedly known for his professionalism.Technically, he does not owe us anything because he is no longer a Chelsea player. Of course he could take the route that many club legends take of moving to a different country, or ar least not to direct rival (or at the very very least not lie so blatantly and put on a huge play about it). But, nonetheless that is a choice that he has every right not to take. Equally, we have the right to change our opinion about his stature among the fans, as a result. But forget about us, Chelsea fans, for a moment, and think about the NYFC fans. He was revealed in a hugely publicised press conference as their marquee signing when in fact he had signed with a different team and was aiming from the start at not joining them at the start of their season. Now, Frank has lied and acted a lot to save his image, but THAT is a scam, pure and simple. He basically helped NYFC con hundreds of people into thousands of dollars worth of season tickets. I don't care if he's a Chelsea legend, Tottenham bench warmer, or my own father, that is an incredibly immoral and disgraceful act.As a fan of the club where he is known to be a legend and an icon and for years was the face of the club, I am genuinely ashamed. It will be interesting to see nyfc's response to all of this and how city spin it.

We Hate Scouse 10,326
On one hand it's a massive dick move to make, but you have to be somewhat understanding. The guys a fantastic player that wants to carry on at the highest level, we didn't want him and he got offered an opportunity to carry on. It's complete ignorance to expect him just to die out in some pony foreign team and rather disrespectful from our perspective. He probably felt let down by the club that they didn't want to keep him. I'm grateful for what he done for the club. different level and Special Juan

What it made some of us disappointed, is that he make a 'fake signing' with NYFC first, along with the expected loan move, expected extended loan move, plus all the words he has said. We are disappointed with the route he takes.

different level 1,056
His life, his choice. Still the greatest player that has ever put on a Chelsea shirt. RoyalBlues 4,050
Lampard is a squad player at City and I am sure he would have enjoyed the same role here. Unfortunately, we did not want him and chose Fabregas instead.Yes, the funny thing is that we don't have Cesc backup at the moment. Think Lampard would be the perfect Cesc backup in our squad, do all the set pieces and stuff.
