Rubber bullets 1,183
Sky keeps saying that he won't be moving to Chelsea, despite what the BBC keeps implying. Sky did this a few days ago, keep telling us that he was not coming.
LDN Blue 7,903
That simply means a) Tottenham can come back with a better offer and aquire him or b ) We can reopen talks and try and get the personal terms agreed (wages perhaps)We've given his representatives a chance to talk to Chelsea but they've not got permission to talk to Tottenham because they've not offered the same money... [That being said] if Tottenham offer the same money that may change or maybe he will agree terms with Chelsea.
Kostas 1,468
Of course they accepted our offer, 3m with just 6months on his contract? Who wouldn't?
Lampards Bitch 21
He would be more like a stop-gap in the team till Josh is ready in a couple of years time. With Lamps 34 and saying he'll have to take care of his injury for the rest of his career, Pienaar would be the perfect choice to replace Lamps when he's injured/rested and at the same time ensure that not too much burden is placed on Josh's shoulders at his young age.Anyway, it's the Daily Mail so the chances of this happening are minimal. And BL, I thought Mail was banned? 33 on 20th June actually lolA good signing if we can get him and at a bargain price. We lack midfielders and he'll have great experience to help us and the youngesters. He had like one ace season but he is ok to me.
Ollie 4,400
He means in a couple of years time lol. Pienaar will only be at ours for a year n a half to 2 years anyway i think and by that time we would have in mind a young player to play there and earmark taking over from Frank. This is only a short term move til we get the right player at the right age. But most importantly at the right price or what Roman willing to spend Edited January 16, 2011 by OllieCFC
Lampards Bitch 21
sounded like he meant now lolRoman wont spend alot especially with this new rule about being self sufficent to play in europe
We Hate Scouse 10,330
sounded like he meant now lolRoman wont spend alot especially with this new rule about being self sufficent to play in europeWe had £20 million bid rejected for Neymar in the Summer and Luiz a couple of days ago. I think it's more about finding the right player to spend the money on rather than not wanting to. The self sufficient rule is stupid it won't be till like 10 years until the club has to be fully self sufficient, I think it starts at something like 80% then goes down 10% each year. So say our loses are £100 million we only have to make £20 million to be eligible to get into Europe. (I think this is right anyway. Someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Badboy 1,526
Roman will buy us a 20 million pound player every year. This year i hope it will be a 20 million pound clinical fast striker !Steven is a good player, he is a very good dribbler and he has good vision. Even though i do not agree with this transfer as i think josh will suffer, i will give him a chance to prove me wrong !
termninja 5,290
Well come to think of it, I'd be glad now if we signed him. It's good to have a least one new player. It will mean more fighting for the 3 midfield starters. I'd still rather like that we sign a centre-back...
Chelsea_93 0
I actually think that he will be a good addition to our squad from what i have seen he seems good and have a nice pace. He is not going to be a start player but i think that he will be useful as a sub and as an occasional starter

LDN Blue 7,903
Redknapp baffled by Chelsea bid & feels he may lose outI don't know if we would be prepared to match that offer to be honest with you. I doubt it very much,The chairman made an offer to take him but Chelsea have come in with three million pounds and if Everton are prepared to sell him they would probably get him. It's all very strange to me how they have suddenly offered three million pounds for him.The manager of Chelsea, he's a lovely guy and honest as the day is long, comes on televisison and denies they made an offer for Pienaar. I don't know who has made the offer.I've got my own ideas about the whole situation but I couldn't say. I think I do know what's happening but if I said I would be in big trouble. That last line. Very cheeky from Redknapp - Trying to stir up some media hype?

Ollie 4,400
We're getting him because he's versatile and he'll spend most of his time with us (if he comes) on one of the wings. He usually plays or at least drifts there on the left anyway. £3m is peanuts in todays market, cannot believe ppl are moaning like we've just spend £20m on him. Styles 9,790
Very strange comments there from Redknapp. Carlo is not honest at all, he is a big liar. "Sturridge will start more games.""I'm not afriad to drop players."There is a long list of Carlo lies.
