Joke of a league, they postpone both the RM and AM games because the poor wittle babies have South American players who played internationally and dog forbid they have to do a work around like every other fucking team in Europe

Hearing Barca are now looking to give Xavi the job. They've been so weird with their managerial appointments in the past 20 years. It's always either former players, staff members or low profile La Liga managers.

Yeah, I was quite surprised too. Our manager lacks tactical knowledge? Let's pay to replace him with another one without tactical knowledge, but hey, he's a c l u b  l e g e n d

Funny how those old big clubs were totally left behind. Buying big names fm-style and expecting them to play whatever they want, with some "personality" motivator as a manager is a model stuck 20 years behind modern top football, yet they seem to still cling to it

Xavi is good. His team play good fútbol.

I think he will do much better then outgoing manager.

I don’t think Xavi is really going to make an immediate impact or a huge huge improvement really in spite compared to how they were with Koeman because the team really is not good enough to compare with former Barcelona teams due to quality of personnel and aging members. They’ve got a lot of young guys but barring Pedri, Fati and Gavi none of them are exactly the sort of level where you go hmm few years that may give them something. They need to invest in some good players.

Their identity situation is just like at United, their ex players and staff talk of the “Barcelona way “and same with the ex United guys with the “Man United way” but they will never successfully replicate that style with what they have right now.

Personally think people read too much into oh its Barca they have to play this way with 70% of the ball or its Man United they need to play with wingers and play this way. Ultimately they need to find ways to win as it is what is expected at these clubs.

No point losing games playing with the majority of the ball like they were with Koeman or trying to play “the Man United way” like with Ole.

Plus like we seen with Villas-Boas and Sarri here, just because one style works in a less competitive league with one of the top teams, who’s to say it works with that team?

It is great that we won CL and have another shot this season because Madrid dominance is coming.

Vini Jr.   Benzema/Haaland   Mbappe

Will be unstoppable.

They are so good this season but under the radar.

Also Simeone cannot really justify his big salary anymore. It is time for a change.

Kounde straight red

what a dumbass

took that ratfucker Jordi Alba's bait and tossed the ball in his face

Alba bumped him, said something to piss him off and backed off, totally suckered him into that. If he can’t keep his cool there, the PL is full of shithousers that will get under your skin. Until that moment it was impressive how far up he plays and has the sense and speed to get back.

The stupidest red card ever? Sevilla's Jules Kounde for throwing ball at Jordi Alba's head

Now, Alba is renowned for feigning injury on the pitch once in a while and this looks to be another case of just that from the Spain international.

The ball appeared to hit the Barcelona man on the shoulder rather than in the face, but he went down clutching the latter. Not great, Jordi.
