Jase 43,479
It's not Gerard's fault of course, he's in the top 3 midfielders in the world. It was obviously the pitch's fault I believed Hodgson used the pitch excuse after the game. And speaking of Gerrard, I laughed reading this. As if Poland was playing on a different pitch. And 'captain's performance'?! I actually LOLed when I read that.
BowtiesAreCool 16
So Ferdinand and Cahill are ruled out for the match vs Montenegro so Steven Taylor is stepping in. Good riddance to Ferdinand, a disgrace - England don't need an old man like him anyways. Cahill is not a loss England needed, but Taylor has that passion to succeed in an england shirt. Fulham Broadway 17,313
Ferdinand in hair appointment clashRIO Ferdinand has pulled out of the England squad after a hairdressing appointment mix-up.‘I just want to look nice’Manager Roy Hodgson had hoped the central defender could have a quick trim, but Ferdinand insisted he has not had a deep root condition since October. The England camp searched for a suitable boutique in San Marino but his trichologist ruled that his hair could not be treated correctly by local stylists.Ferdinand said: “My commitment to the national team is 100 per cent but you should see my split ends in the morning, I look like I’ve headbutted a candyfloss machine.”Younger players like Sturridge or Walcott can bounce back from a ridiculous haircut within days but at my age I’ve got to be careful. That advert with Joe Hart shows the devastating effects dandruff can have on your game.”Ferdinand’s England career has been plagued with cancellations due to chest waxing, unforeseen manicures and a disastrous eyebrow threading that sidelined him for over six months.England captain Steven Gerrard said: “All the lads wish Rio the best and hope the girl who normally does the shampooing isn’t too rough with the water hose.”Ferdinand added: “This summer I’m going to Switzerland to have horse placenta massaged into my scalp.” Liquidator, Laylabelle, The Skipper and 1 other
Liquidator 5,176
Can't wait for us to get a draw/win against Montenegro and the English media to have their customary international break wankfest about how we are genuine contenders for the World Cup because we beat one of the worst international teams on the planet. Bullshit are we.

bababoom 4,478
So the Belgian national thread is much busier then this one, do we have to much time on our hands? I think it's because right now the Belgium squad has so many great young players, its exciting... for us England fans the only world class youngsters we have right now is probably Wilshere. It also doesn't help that we're playing teams like San Marino...Don't get me wrong though, i love supporting England, nothing better than a whole nation supporting one team. I don't see who can challenge us now, before the weekend I said Finland but they couldn't even beat Spain so they've got no chance.

Slam Dunk 1,442
Englands XI for tonight is laughable. A starting lineup that includes Lescott, Smalling, Cleverley and Milner isn't going to strike fear into the heart of anyone.

Cole is probably slightly better defensively but what Baines offers offensively is immense. Shogun
