Fernando 6,738 Posted Sunday at 11:47 Share Posted Sunday at 11:47 (edited) It took many years but this is the best appointment that Blue Co has made. Owners don't know nothing about footbal, but can this be a sign that they are willing to change and learn? Well let's wait and see how we are doing after one season, because Liam got 6 years and got sack in less then 6 months. LAM09 7,095 Posted Sunday at 12:26 Share Posted Sunday at 12:26 Slightly surprised. I thought Fabregas would have been the name considering his connection with the club. At least that's some positive new after how bad things have been this year.
Mário César 1,500 Posted Sunday at 13:14 Share Posted Sunday at 13:14 The bet is the best we could have hoped for, but it’s pointless if the club makes the same mistakes in the transfer market. By the end of the summer we’ll already have a better idea of what next season will look like.

I’ve watched Younes for many years but had to unfollow him because he is so relentlessly negative about everything. It has gotten a bit tiring. All the other big Chelsea YouTubers have been rightly critical of how things have gone but they can at least acknowledge the positive things too. Younes just always projects the worst possible outlook on everything.
Mário César 1,500 Posted Sunday at 16:16 Share Posted Sunday at 16:16 (edited) The problem is that even if Guardiola were at the club, as long as the management doesn’t change and they don’t sign ready-made players, nothing will change Edited Sunday at 16:16 by Mário César

calculatingInfinity 1,495 Posted Sunday at 16:45 Share Posted Sunday at 16:45 Seems like a good choice and it's one of the few ex Liverpool players I don't hate. Always had some class about him for me. But I'm afraid that even if he does well like Maresca, he will have enough of the incompetent board and such after a while. But here's to hoping it won't be the case and they learnt their lesson.
Laylabelle 9,741 Posted Sunday at 16:50 Share Posted Sunday at 16:50 Theyve been sensible and havent given him a stupidly long contract. Hope they give him what he needs...and dont screw this up! 3rd manager this year.. mad

He has every reason to be negative about this clownery going on at Chelsea. Appointing Alonso is literally the only positive thing BlueCo have done since signing Pedro which was wrapped in 3/4 shocking signings. Even the signing of Alonso will only be a positive if they back him properly which is yet to be seen. Gittens, Delap, Garnacho, etc... then the failure to sign a CB, going for LR, it was all wrong. That being said, Xabi Alonso was probably the best appointment we could’ve made at this point. But it will still depend entirely on the transfer market. That’s when we’ll really see whether this board has learned from its mistakes or if it’s just going to keep repeating them. And honestly, I hope the protests continue until there are actual signs of change. DDA and Fernando 1
NikkiCFC 8,518 Posted Sunday at 17:32 Share Posted Sunday at 17:32 In Leverkusen he played 3421. In Madrid 433. Wonder what's gonna happen here? Considering quality of our wingers maybe first option not bad.

Like I said, it’s right to be angry with how things have gone and be hostile towards our owners for getting us into this state. Other Chelsea content creators like Matisse and George Benson have said as much. But Younes takes even positive things and is quick to pour cold water on them. I get it, things are shit currently, but he acts like this club is completely irredeemable. Let’s just see how things play out this summer before being super nagative. 16 minutes ago, NikkiCFC said: In Leverkusen he played 3421. In Madrid 433. Wonder what's gonna happen here? Considering quality of our wingers maybe first option not bad. I don’t think we have wingbacks of high enough quality either. Reece was of course once one of the best attacking fullback in the world but his body can’t withstand it for long. Cucu is excellent at bombing forward and getting involved in attacks but he is not nearly dangerous enough with final actions to be a wingback for me. Everyone in the media is just kind of assuming automatically that he’s going to play 3 at the back with wingbacks but I’m kind of hoping he doesn’t. I want to see us with proper wingers. I'll go on to say that if it weren't for relentless fan discontent and the protest, these people wouldnt even contemplate changing their ways or going after a manager like Alonso (or Pochettino before him). We would still be stuck with Rosenior's, Potter's or Gary O'Neil. It will nearly impossible to move BlueCo out until theyve burnt up all the finances (in which case they will bail themselves out anyway), so the least that can happen from shitshow seasons is they wake up and at least move the needle a little. The fact that they've actually given him a managerial title, not just first team coach, speaks volumes to me. Fernando and DDA 1

Their latest mantra is ''football is about learning''. To me theyve twigged its not enough just to buy a brand and milk it, it has to be nurtured as well Blue Armour
